It has begun. All keep this updated all season.

UCF took the first competition - W Soc 2-1 in front of a record 2700 fans.
A record 1,669 fans at the UCF Volleyball Venue. Our volleyball team doesn't share a court with our hoops programs so it is standing room only. UCF has won the first 2 sets.
Pretty good crowd for women's soccer.
UCF wins the volleyball match 3-0.

It's a true rivalry, at least for UCF. I'd expect to see a crowd to watch Ville play UK in marbles. Unfortunately Rutgers hasn't had a real arch rival since we stopped playing Princeton.
ESPN: UCF is the new team playing with the big dogs in Florida instead of USF

Andrea Adelson

...in other words, USF always has lorded over UCF like the know-it-all big brother -- older, wiser and worldlier. For the first time, though, UCF is expected to be the overwhelming favorite to win when the teams play in Orlando on Thanksgiving weekend.

Ahh, so the Ginger Hack comes up for air.

In all fairness, she's trolling us both pretty hard...

Some are coming around and seeing the value in having a true rival. Some are still delusionally thinking that Florida's Big 3 will accept them into their club.

The truth is, no matter how bad the Big 3 are in any given year, they will continue to look down on both of us until e start winning national championships.

Adelson is one of the worst 'bloggers' ESPN ever had... she just got the job because of her husband. She's always hated USF, but she lives in Orlando. Coincidence? lol

I don't think USF ever Lorded it over everyone. Just went forward and played games, tried to schedule as many big dogs as possible. Just what everyone should be doing. We didn't have enough success to really brag much, we have not won a conference yet. But that's the kind of nonsense AA always put out there...

Why is she even writing about either USF or UCF? She became the ACC blogger. Kind of supports my point... she's got a MAJOR axe to grind. Yet she always tried to claim she was an unbiased journalist. Used to get downright hilarious on that blog when she got called on it every once in awhile.

All that said, it's good that USF and UCF are in the same conference, it's good a true rivalry will get moving. I honestly think that as the AAC blooms, we'll both be sticking it in the eye of the 'Big 3' frequently.
UCF will bomb usf this year
Men's soccer: UCF def South Florida 1-0 in Tampa.

Next up: Volleyball on 11/1; Football on 11/29
Oh hey I like this thread.
go knights, lets take a clean sweep for the year
UCF can win all the other sports. As long as we win the football game i'll be a happy camper. And i fully expect to be a happy camper. 07-coffee3

if we dressed up in mcneese st uniforms I doubt usf would even take the field.
Oh hey BTW:

Club Hockey,

10/04 - Home vs. USF - W - 6-3
10/05 - Away @ USF - W - 8-3

We've passed USF in many Olympic sports - but I do expect it to be a good race in the wintering spring with heated basketball and baseball games. So good to see these games mean something and for baseball to have a conference series instead of the Tuesday night games
