Looks to be a great day for KSU road MAC win weather wise.
Must. Win.
I watched the WMU/NU game. A few thoughts:

Offensively, their QB has a pretty good arm. Seems to go to his backs a bit, which got pretty predictable. WMU has a great receiver in Davis. He's huge, fast and has good hands. They go downfield to him. Understand that he's hurt. If he plays, our secondary better be ready. The running game didn't impress me. They had a play here and there, and it wasn't awful, but nothing where I wondered how we stop THAT guy. Overall, offense was better than defense.

Defensively, the Bronocs had a lot of work to do, but it was also early in the season. For the most part, NU could move at will through the air and on the ground. NU had two turnovers that kept it close, but there was never a sense that the 'Cats couldn't pull away if they wanted to. NU doesn't have the embarrassment of riches in talent as other BiG schools do, so Fitzgerald gets most of his roster ready to play through non conference. He yanked his starting QB in the third quarter and went 3 deep on the bench and NU still moved the ball with ease. NU's third string running back got over 100 yards on the ground. I'd put into the category of an "O.K." MAC defense.

Special teams. Just based upon one game, we have a clear advantage. The stats show their punt average was 30 yards, but some were much shorter. Think I remember a few week under 20. Kicking game wasn't much better. NU had a short field all day. Seemed pretty undisciplined on special teams with a few really obvious called PF's.

Both teams desperately need a win, which changes the whole dynamic. Think we have a shot.
I foresee a 27-23 win this weekend.

I would disagree with this assessment. Our defense has been pretty much the only bright spot so far this year. It is in my opinion our horrible horrible offense that is causing the defensive numbers to fall apart. A full game with few first downs and they are just wearing down.

If you remember in that NU game, our offense gave them the ball on our side of the field 3 times to start the game and they got 0 points from it. Once we gave them the ball at the 27 due to a horribly shanked punt and the defense was able to get the ball back.
If I were at a Vegas sportbook and not biased for the Broncos, I'd drop some cash on KSU +3. If we can't beat FCS bottom feeder Nicholls at home in front of 25K, not sure how we'll be you guys at home in front of 15K.

Boy do I agree with you Yes the defense has struggled but I agree alot of it is because of the total lack of offense. Like I have said several times we need to open up the offense strech the fied and that will also open up the running game. We have missed several opportunities to do this our record should be 3-1 not 1-3 Unfortunetly I do not think we have The right personnel in place to do that. This is just my opinon

We get it, your son/nephew/cousin/neighbor would be all-MAC and should be the starting QB and we should be 3-1. Curious, which total ass-whipping he makes the difference in, LSU or Penn State?

Your something else , no one else can have opinions when they do not agree with yours Penn State was very winable it was 14-0 at half we had several opportunities , BG was winnable until we did not show up the second half sorry our offense stinks and I pray it is great this Saturday and I hope Reardon plays great your wrong and others on here are saying it too Our offense is hurting our defense We need to put them in better field position and get them off the field Why is it always the starting QB with you??? (it is our offense) that stinks Is it the QB? is it the play calling? is it the running game ?the line play? I have my thoughts but you do not want to hear it unless it agrees with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I may be the only one in the middle here. Our offense has by no means been lighting things up, but I'm going to reserve calling it bad or inept until after tomorrow. We honestly couldn't have drawn a tougher defensive opposition than we have the last two weeks and even BG is far from being a cupcake on the defensive side of the ball. If we had a stretch like this against lessor competition, I would be very concerned, but right now I'm not getting myself worked up. I think we'll know a lot more about this team after tomorrow night. I honestly see us putting 30 if not more on the board with or without Archer. I think we'll be fine.

And you're something else, taking every chance to bust on a Freshman QB when the poster in front of you was talking about Western Michigan and their offense. Yeah we all know our O needs to step up, but they were talking WMU! Thinking he should have beaten Penn State with the cast around here is ridiculous. You're credibility is suspect and your embarrassing the poor kid. If he's that great, he'll get his shot.

Exactly how I feel, if we s%#€ the bed a against WMU I'll be concerned, but I think we get the O on track. We certainly need this one big time!

I am done why you think I am saying anything because of another QB is dead wrong I told you that You have no Idea who I am or how much experince I have but I am off this sight I Hope we play well tomorrowand I too hope we score 30 or more I have no idea who you think I am embarrassing Have fun I done
Coach George talks about the defense in today's blog. One of the funnier lines is when he describes WMU and KSU as "being in the same boat."

Coach George on Defense
I am laying here tonight thinking about how big this game is tomorrow. Lose this game and drop to 1-4 and then next week to NIU and all the sudden we are 1-5 and back to being the KSU football program that most think we are. Lose tomorrow and this season will have gotten away from us so fast it's crazy.

Just win baby!
Guys everything will be okay. Our entire offense (Adrian Archer) is back.

P.S. You are a dick PolishHammer
