Haven't heard or seen anything reguarding the apparent injury last week. I know he returned after a couple plays but was clearly having a problem with the left arm. Does no news equal good news? Or is it possible he misses the game and theyre keeping it under wraps until they take the field Saturday?
I doubt he would have went back into the game against EIU if his injury was serious. I would expect to see him on the field against Purdue, but maybe he will run less and handoff more.
Carey thought he was fine other than the usual bumps and bruises so I'm sure he'll play.
People really need to stop taking wild speculation posts on here as gospel.
I wouldn't even question this...1.) He came in 2 plays after and 2.) We've heard nothing...

Quote: Carey reiterated that quarterback Jordan Lynch is fine. He missed a couple of plays in the second half of Saturday’s win over Eastern Illinois.

“He had bumps and bruises like everybody,” Carey said. “He’ll be fine. I’m sure his bruise isn’t completely away yet, but he’ll be fine.”
This is Jordan Lynch's final season. He is an unbelievable competitor. There is nothing that will keep him out of the lineup other than a major injury. He is as tough as they come!

I mean, the dude couldn't even lift his left arm over his head during the postgame fight song. I don't think anyone is in the wrong for making sure he's alright.
Yeah, I have a hard time believing it's "bumps and bruises" when he couldn't lift his arm at the end of the game.

I'm sure he'll play and I'm not worried, but yeah.
Did anyone think Harnish would come back when he hurt his ankle. He played thru it. If it is a bruise or slight dislocation, I expect him in there.
We would have heard something more if this was a real big issue. Lynch is to much of a competitor to miss time. Plus this is to go up 2 on the B10, it will be on!

Do you really think Carey would announce that Lynch hurts in a certain place? Purdue would be all over it. Same reason you hear after the Stanley Cup all the things players were dealing with during the Cup.
Did Lynch start throwing with his left arm or something? I guess this game wasn't challenging enough for him.

Did Lynch stop running the ball all of a sudden?

i think he just hit his crazy bone and we all know how painful that is for about 10 minutes
Sounds like from what Carey said its a deep bone bruise, very painful but nothing that is at risk of injuring further.

Not so sure we would have heard anything, Carey is very tight lipped about injuries as he should be. He did say that Lynch has a bruise that will probably not be fully healed by Saturday which is more than I expected him to say. Though it is not his throwing arm it could limit him in some aspects of the game. Let's hope he responds to treatment and is close to full strength on Sat. I love watching him play and I do not like our chances if he cannot play or if he is limited in the plays he can run.
Listen, if he's really that hurt you run the ball with Stingily. Not such a bad plan to begin with IMO. We should have done even more of it against EIU. He had to have been averaging 4 yards per carry. Run him until they prove they can stop him.
Speculate all you want.........nobody here knows anything for sure but I can tell you that I talked to someone who did see alot of the practice on Tuesday and Lynch was there............in shorts. He did not touch a football.

ORRRRRR you could run it with the guy who was averaging 8.2 YPC in Lynch!

What is the the very strange obsession on this board with Stingily carrying the ball on every play?
