Did they not prepare at all for the amount of people? Moat food was gone after the first quarter. My opinion, another reason why people don't come to the game.

I hit up one of the lukolos concessions and it was great.

I had the Alumni Paw Pack. Went to get our four hot dogs and drinks at halftime and they were completely out of hot dogs. Inexcusable.

My brother did grab some beer nuggets from the Lukolos though and they were good.
Just go to Pita Petes before the game.
People who don't come to gamers because they can't get a hot dog are sad indeed. If concessions dictate whether or not you go to a game, maybe you should just give up.
I'm just saying it's part of the gameday experience. We want the sell outs well then be prepared for them.

Ignorance. Say a family drives straight to Dekalb after soccer/football/cheerleading or whatever activity with their kids...they pay to park, pay for tickets, go into the game and enjoy some of the game. Then they realize they have some damn hungry kids, go to get some food and bush league Huskie stadium tells them they're out of a bunch of items.

Plain and simple it's horrible service. A hot dog isn't going to make or break my night but it's ridiculous that a 24,000 person stadium would run out of hot dogs by halftime. Very amateur whether you care about eating in the stadium or not.
Don't call me ignorant. Agreed that it's epic fail if they don't have enough food. I have problems with people, if they exist, who stay away strictly because of the food situation. Much more to the game than food.
This can be remedied. Learn from it. Not the end of the world
Yep. I couldn't get a hot dog in the 3rd Q. Choice was beer nuggets or gyros. Now I love gyros but don't think having one at Huskie stadium is a good choice. The nuggets are not real food. Very disappointed.

Don't underestimate the power of concessions. The primary reason my wife loves to go White Sox games at the Cell is because of the concessions. The food is outstanding. Do not discount the importance of this service, especially when it comes to the casual fan who we are so desperately trying to attract.
Not to mention they were part of that ticket promotion. This is not rocket science.

Yeah Armour, listen to beachboy. Get crappy service and keep coming back for more....that has always been my mantra.....
I go out of my way to experience things that are run half arsed...
Hell, who knows, I have been thinking about hooking up with that ex wife of mine again for one last "joy" ride...03-lmfao
It was so much fun the first time around ya know. Yep, I keep going to events and places all the time for that good ole crappy service. Yee Haaaa!!

Totally agree, many people who come to the games are family and friends who are not hardcore fans and the total experience matters ...... Also, I can't believe they turned down sooo many people trying to get tickets, then later hearing that they could have fit 500 more people.... of well, live and learn.
Wow...I would understand if they ran out in the 4th quarter...but the first half!!! That is really disappointing.

Fortunately my kids were only interested in the popcorn and skittles.

Who is "they"? Shame on NIU because they could have fit 500 more people in? Please. The tickets were sold for those seats, the people didn't show. What is NIU supposed to do? Sell 500 general admission tickets on the west side so people can try and find a no-show's seats?
While running out of hot dogs certainly isn't good, the logistics of planning how many hot dogs to have on hand the day of the game probably is probably made weeks before a game. Given we haven't sold out a game in years, last night's demand wasn't very predictable. It certainly doesn't make sense to purchase a bunch of extra food and then throw it away when no one buys it.
I had a brat at the game from the 4H booth. It was the worst tasting and undercooked brat I ever had. Also I got the last 2 bags of peanuts after halftime. They had a funny taste also.
This does not make one feel "big time."
I don't usually go to Huskie Stadium, but when I do, I go for the ****** food.
