"The Bobcats will have four Sun Belt Conference home games against Arkansas State, Idaho, Georgia Southern and UL Lafayette. The SBC road games are at UL Monroe, Georgia State, South Alabama and New Mexico State. Texas State will not play Appalachian State or Troy in 2014 due to the league membership being 11 teams."

Really good gets for my bobcats. Houston obviously because of the alumni base and our win last year, but Tulsa too.

Eat em up!
Heck yeah! Really happy about this!
Sad we aren't playing App St or Troy next year though. Was looking forward to Troy coming and been wanting to play App St for years since the last return game got cancelled in 2005ish.
I am really hoping they reveal conference opponents for everyone in 2014 soon. I know they cant reveal dates until March 1st, but games can at least be revealed.

Think it would depend on how teams are doing in conference?

ie, if someone is making a tremendous run, they will focus on the current year, and not announce until the end of the season. Or, if nobody is going crazy with a run, they might announce early to shift some focus away?

My guess is that teams will start to announce once they know who their nonconference games are. I know we haven't heard a word out of ASU primarily because we are still scrambling to fill 2 games for next year that both have to be in Jonesboro.
Good get!
Congrats TS!
This is great news!!!! Building a rivalry with Houston is the right thing to do. The Coogs do want revenge for last year.
Tulsa is a nice add also.

We got Utah State at home next year. I would bet the other home game is an FCS school.
maybe this will silence some of our serial complainers in Bobcat Nation...
then again, maybe not.

I don't think Utah State is confirmed yet.

As is my understanding. I had actually only heard it was a possibility not even serious talks. BUT Iv kinda been out of the loop. 16 hrs of classes, 3 part time jobs, and starting my own business has really been tough.

That's what I had heard. I believe I remember Arkstfan saying a few weeks ago that we had a good shot of playing 2 FCS schools next year because no one wants to come to Jonesboro on short notice.

I don't like that.... id rather add a FBS away game against a Akron/UCF then play a team that doesn't count towards bowl eligibility...

Mohajir has promised fans no fewer than 6 home games every year. We need the gate.
Wait a minute! You mean to tell me that you guys didn't have to move to cusa to get those games? But, I thought that was the only way you could do that...04-jawdrop

yea there is a crowd over there mad because UH released the news "first" and they had to "get the info over there" instead of from the Texas State AD

some of those Texas State fans can be real idiots when it comes to expectations and their desire to bandwagon with the guy that sniffs the Strutters Panties (the rev)

funny thing is the Texas State AD did release the news along with the Tulsa news today the 18th just like UH

yea I could have sworn there was a contingent of fans from a team that will go unnamed that swore up and down that Texas State would have really hard time evAR getting Texas teams in the schedule.......which seems to be false since Texas state has managed to land UH now and had Texas Tech at Texas State as well and UTSA.......while the other team has had only UH in recent memory

and that other team really really wanted to keep playing Tulsa as well even after Tulsa decided to move to the AAC and had Tulsa for a home and home and that got blown up with the CUSA moves.....and now they get a road game with Tulsa and that is it......but Texas State got the home and home deal done and Texas State manages to get 6 home games a season so far while the other team had a 5 game home season recently and another coming up as well 03-nutkick

Astatenation tweeted yesterday that Utah State was coming to Jonesboro in 2014. I don't know where they got it from but that is what they said. Ask arkstfan if it is true.
