Had to fill in at Magazine Friday night. It did not go very well, it seemed to me. I did not have a spotter, and Magazine's home jerseys are red letters on black jerseys - almost impossible for an old man to see across the field. But we survived without lynching. I am much more comfortable with basketball, even though football should be much easier if it is done right.

It's almost impossible to do that job without a spotter. You actually need two, one for the offense and one for the defense.
