Isn't this exactly the same as Abe Lincoln? Why is Lincoln great, and Putin terrible?
They're both tyrants. Putin didn't kill hundreds of thousands of his own people, did he? Lincoln did cause the deaths of 600,000 Americans though.

Lincoln did kill a lot of his own people and burned cities and razed villages in a fashion reminiscent og Gengis Khan. Women and children hit hardest. I wonder if he would have used chemical weapons if he had them.

Putin is a dictator who is leading a pogrom against anyone he doesn't like. His foreign policy is to support war criminals and to assist Iran to gain nuclear weapons. He is an ally of corruption.

Lincoln was almost a foot taller than Putin. No way does Daniel Day-Lewis play him when Spielberg does his Putin epic film in 10 years. I just hope he doesn't do the whole film in subtitles.

Obama drops espionage charges or conducts warrantless surveillance on anyone he doesn't like. His foreign policy is to drone bomb numerous countries, help al Qaeda overthrow governments, and support repressive, tyrannical regimes in places like Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. And you absolutely adore him. That's why I can never tell if you're lauding or criticizing Putin.

As a southerner, I have no love lost for Lincoln. However, comparing him to Putin is a tad silly, IMO.
