Let me preface that I am first and foremost a fan of my Alma Mater Miami (OH), but grew up a buckeye fan and thought this was pretty cool. Won't see this again probably.

Ohio State Marching Band by Ferry
Thanks for posting. Very neat to see.
Put In Bay...I really wouldn't mind checking that place out once more in my life.
Put in bay is great. I would be very disappointed if that showed up and ruined my day.
Most OSU fans around here are annoying because they are Wal-Mart OSU fans and didn't actually go to college, let alone Ohio State.

However, as a marching band alum, it's always fun to see that kind of stuff. That's what makes college sports so much better than the pro ones, but TV $$ is determined to change all that.

Definitely. I was in HS marching band when I first saw TBDBITL in the horseshoe, when my mom was a senior and we got to go to a couple of games that year.

I don't even remember the team they were playing, but I remember the band and that all-brass sound, and Dwight Hudson as the drum major exciting the crowd.
I've learned if you have a boat or know someone with a boat at PIB, it is a much better experience.
PIB was great, from what I can recall. Lots of booze.

Not that we don't have our annoying fans (I'll concede we certainly do), but never understood the problem with rooting for a team you didn't go to school at. I'm an OSU alumni, but root for the team more for state pride reasons than any loyalty to the school itself.

Yeah, I've never understood the idea that you had to go to a school to be a true fan. I was a UM fan living in Ohio long before I went to college.
I'm the same as you guys. My undergrad degree is from Ohio U but I was always a Pitt fan and that remained true during and after college. I later earned a pair of degrees from Pitt too but I was a Panther even before I ever went to school there.
BTW, that is a very cool video. I have no idea what the back story is or why they're there but that would have been very cool to see firsthand.

It looks like the Tall Ships were at PIB that weekend, so that may have been the reason they were there.
I've been a Mountaineer fan all my life. But my father covered WVU, and I pretty much grew up at old Mountaineer Field and the old Field House (now Stansbury Hall). I didn't end up going to WVU until I was discharged from the military in 1976...
