-After losing to UAB, Indiana dropped out of the top 25 in the collegesoccernews poll.
-Conference mate Tulsa is ranked 9th
-Our next opponent Charlotte is ranked 19th
-Since losing to UAB, VCU has gotten a win against #20 Maryland and a draw against #6 New Mexico
Big game with Charlotte. We owe them a beating.
We owe them about 15 beatings. It's really important to at least get a draw out of that game since it's our first conference opponent. With Charlotte, ODU, New Mexico, and Tulsa, this league offers a lot of chances for good wins. With our OOC performance so far it's really vital to just finish in the top half of the league so we can get into the tournament.
The game this weekend is a part of the "soccer for a cure" tournament. Memphis plays ETSU at 4:30 and UAB plays Charlotte at 7. Then on Sunday, Memphis plays Charlotte and UAB plays ETSU.
Memphis does not play UAB, but the two teams will play in a couple of weeks in Memphis.

Does it still count as a conference game, if its part of the tournament?
