Only one turnover, only 35 yards in penalties. Time of possession was in UABs favor. More rushing yards than LSU.

Difference in the game was LSUs quarterback going 17-20(5 touchdown strikes), compared to UABs 9-25 completions. Browns primary receivers were heavily covered, last night, and he threw 16 failed attempts into heavy traffic.

McGee also gave up 7 no brainer points on a 69 yard field goal attempt that backfired 109 yards. He sure had a dumbfounded look on his face after that play.

In two games, UABs defensive secondary has been blistered by 2 quarterbacks who have completed 47 out of 53 throwing attempts. EWWWWW!

Hey! UAB held LSU scoreless for fifteen minutes, in the fourth quarter.

Back to the drawing board, where Coach McGee seems to be getting a crick in his neck, looking down at his clipboard playbook, for so much of the game. So far he has ex-ed out of his playbook an onsides kick and a field goal attempt from further than sixty five yards.
The field goal attempt was 59 yards, and I bet he asked Long if he felt like he could hit it.

And he still has that damn mustache.
That has to be the WEIRDEST mustache I've ever seen. Wtf is up with that?
Ha...I love how Blazer fans loved the stache when he was hired...now it's weird and stupid

They will like it again when we get to CUSA olay.
I never said I liked it. It was weird from the day he ever decided to shave that design on his face
I like the stache and stats lie.
We are undefeated in games where he has shaved the stache

Which does not bode well in a league that favors the wide open passing game.

Let me rephrase. Who among the Blazer family didn't?
There's no way to sugarcoat this game by analyzing the stats. (Time of possession, for, example, is a worthless stat. The lone turnover and low penalty yards were positives, though.) That was a total smackdown by one team that was much, much, much, much, much better than the other.

Let's just deposit the check, put this one behind us, and prepare for the remaining twelve games. 04-rock
If we are gonna run the ball, we need to get some real o-linemen who can hold their own without having to scheme block. Scheme blocking is our only way to be successful with the guys we have. How about getting some juco dlinemen as well? Peoples is responsible for bringing in the only 2 linemen on the team who had offers.

I meant to post this in another thread but I guess since we are talking about stats, it doesn't matter.

Well, in this instance, I didnt have a problem with him trying the 59 yarder other than the fact that I feared that Ty might have been worn out from having to punt, kick off and run the field with the rest of the guys and try to make tackles, etc, after getting tossed into the fray as the punter.
That's an excellent point. Ty can make a 59 yarder. Maybe under normal circumstances he drills it but he was pulling double duty.
I didn't have a problem with McGee trying it.

It didn't bother me that they returned it for a TD either.

The game was not in question, so might as well try it.

Last year he mentioned that if the circumstances were right he would try it.

I did think he should have attempted to pass the ball a little more prior to attempting the field goal though.
At this point I think Ty needs to try a drop kick FG if we are blowing out NW St.
I bet he would put a good lick on a WR if he was a DB.
