Ranking the week 2 MAC non-conference opponents from toughest to easiest.

*As i just did this, i realized how much easier the week 2 schedule is from week 1. It's a dramatic dropoff in competition.

1. Penn St
2. Baylor
3. Missouri
__________
[gap]

4. Kentucky
5. Army
__________
[big gap]

6. North Texas
__________
[big gap]

7-9. New Hampshire, Maine, JMU (i honestly have no clue who is better than the other)
__________
[gap]

10. Nicholls St
Army close to an SEC team and a big gap over UNT?

nevermind, I see they're playing a MAC West team.

I disagreed with your Week 1 opponent ranking on the other thread, and I disagree with Week 2 here.

This is how I would rank the opponents for Week 2:

1. Baylor
2. Missouri
- BG -
3. Penn St
- Kent -
4. Kentucky
__________
[gap]

5. Army
6-7. North Texas/JMU
__________
[big gap]

8-10. FCS (no difference)

*I threw in BG and Kent since they play each other.

I just don't think much of Kentucky. They lost to WKU and it looked like the game was never in doubt.

Everyone can rank the teams as they see fit. Obviously, there is going to be disagreement.
Both New Hampshire and JMU would beat Army. The Cadets lost to another CAA team Stony Brook 29-3 last year.

Central Michigan and Akron will have their hands full. I think UMass will beat Maine, but it won't be by a big margin.

I agree about KY, my point was I don't see a "big gap" between Army and North Texas.

Based on what I remember, I'd go with JMU, UNH, Maine in that order. However, I didn't really pay as close attention to the CAA last year for obvious reasons.

CAA teams aren't jokes. Don't know how big of a gap I'd put between 6 and 7, though I haven't ever seen North Texas play and had to google them to figure out who they are.

EDIT- Yeah, screw those gaps. Unless Army is vastly improved over the last 2 seasons, there is not a huge gap between them, JMU and UNH.
