Here's how I'd rank the conference after week one.

1) UC (best win so far)
2) Louisville (they haven't played by the time of writing this, but I'm sure they'll handle business)
3) UCF (total solid performance all around)
4) Houston (same as above, UCF and Houston are probably interchangeable at this point; based on history, I think UCF beats Houston head to head)
5) Rutgers (tough loss against a decent opponent, they scored some points)
6) SMU (outmatched by their opponent)
7) Temple (same as above)
8) Memphis (gets 8 because they had a bye and didn't lose to a I-AA team)
9) UConn (embarrassing loss, but not the worst loss)
10) USF (worst loss since I-A split from I-AA)
Are we going to have eight threads about USF's loss like we had with UConn? I really like the ones started by USF fans.

I haven't seen a new UConn-Towson thread today, maybe someone should start one.

Can we get eight on SDSU, KSU, and the others?
No arguments here,

I will say that Rutgers OT road loss is equivalent to UCF and UH's wins against inferior opponents at home. I mean I really thought Fresno State was going to win big. Playing on the west coast is rough on anyone, especially in week 1 with the looming uncertainties. On the field, Rutgers looked good.

UCF's win over Akron, lets face it Akron wont be bowl eligible. Akron will be a bottom feeder in the MAC and I am sure a couple if these FCS teams are a lot better than Akron. UCF still gad a lot of mistakes and you want to see some real progression in the FIU game. I am glad we scheduled 2 tuneup games to start the season. Still it's good to be 1-0

UH win, I didn't watch the game but I am glad UH didnt sleep on their FCS opponent
I watched most of the Tech-SMU game. Temple left more points on the field (2 missed FG, 1 missed XP, failed 4th down conversion at ND 6). And even without the points, not sure an 18-point loss at home to TTU is better than a 22-point loss on the road in South Bend

It's just sad when your only defense is, our team lost more respectfully than yours.

Both were god awful.

I really think FCS teams are using steroids and calling it a day. It's a completely baseless claim but I don't care.

Plus Rutgers must have been jetlagged (game ended at 3 AM EST). Rutgers should do well this season
Here's how I'd rank the future conference after week one.

1) Cincy
2) UCF
3) Houston
4) East Carolina
5) Navy
6) Tulane
7) SMU
8) Temple
9) Memphis
10) UConn
11) Tulsa
12) USF
RU is not a bad team...Fresno is a TOUGH place to play and RU could have won that game. They are going to win some AAC games this year.
