We are still a few years away from having 85 scholarships filled. We'll be better. How much better remains to be seen. We could win 2, we could win 7. It all depends on how the ball bounces. We were 4-8 last season but two plays away from being 6-6.
Cincinnati beats a B1G by 5 TD's, UCF does what they were supposed to do to Akron, and Houston obliterates Southern...and its Memphis that's going to make the conference feel better? I'll be happy if you all just manage to stay in your game.

That's a much better description of where. We're getting better, how much better will be determined on the field. Hopefully "better" equals more wins, particularly against those regional programs that have beaten us lately.

We will be dogs in the game...it will be tough to pull it out and I'd be pleasantly surprised if we do it, but I'll be there to witness it if at all possible

Could we please have a moratorium on Memphis fans making bold football predictions before we've even played a down? Seriously. We don't have a clue how good or bad we will be this season.

Very valid point...we've been pretty atrocious (although not blown out by a FCS school), and should wait to make sure we don't embarrass ourselves.
Then again, when have fan message boards been the place for wisdom, civility, or common sense?
