Bronson Arroyo - 2 HR's
Wily Mo Pena - 0 HR's

Arroyo also pitched fairly well in his first start. Reds up 3-0 right now.
lmfao 04-bow
Not me that deal was a steal.

I saw way more of Wily Mo than I cared to. He could hit the ball a ton when he got a hold of it, but fielding 04-jawdrop ? baserunning 04-jawdrop ? The guy is a marginal professional baseball player.
Agreed. I was surprised so many people thought that was a bad deal. It looked like a no brainer.
Rath,
I agree, people love HRs.

You would think GMs would have learned by now that the best teams are never loaded with home run guys.

I don't care how many games the Reds win this year. I just want to go to the park and see great baseball. Pitchers who pitch like major league pitchers and can field their position. Well executed plays in the infield. Smart baserunning. Guys who can get down a bunt 04-jawdrop Outfielders who hustle and can hit a cut-off in line.

I could deal with half the home runs to watch well played baseball. And the level of baseball played at GABP the last couple years has been BAD.

Oh yeah, and I want to see a manager who can tell when a pitcher is DONE as opposed to having thrown a mistake pitch or gotten out of their groove temporarily. These pitch-count spreadsheet managers kill their bullpens by the end of June.

That is all I got
I admit, I was skeptical. Not so much because we were losing Willy, but I was nt sure what Arroyo could bring. I thought he was aging and just a mediocre pitcher, and Willy had alot of potential. So far Arroyo has been our best pitcher, and has even replaced Pena's bat.
Coming over from the AL probably gives him a bit of the edge right now. It'll be interesting to see how he does when June comes around.

Not much potential in a guy that can't hit a breaking ball.
Wily Mo just needs jobu to help him hit the curve ball.
