This is only the tip of the iceberg as far as concussion litigation goes. Coaches are already going through mandatory training, insurance costs are going up for schools, and more lawsuits are being filed everyday for head injuries during sports... this will be a serious topic for years to come.

The ripple effect of this settlement will be felt widespread. I have a feeling that sooner or later, MLB is going to air on the side of caution in regards to the traditional "play at the plate", where baserunners can legally "Amtrak" the catcher.

& lest we not forget the National Hockey League, too.

& parents in the stands of little league or soccer league games.
