My boy @GetTristed is back!!!
Might still be a while til we see him on the field, or has he been practicing regardless?
Weren't some folks talking about some 2 TE formations? Has anyone actually seen any of this at any of the practices or scrimmages?
For those who may be wondering?

25-year-old Tristan Henderson, who has served two stints as a military policeman overseas, was a "big" TE (6-4, 270) signee

Had yet to be cleared by the NCAA
YES!!!
I was hoping to see him get a chance to play. I guess since they let MTSU's guy play they cleared Henderson.

I don't remember seeing him around the scrimmage but DPickren might be better able to say if he's seen him practic or not. I'd say we won't be seeing much of him early in the season but more when we get to conference play after he's practiced a bit more on a regular basis w/ the team.

We've had several multiple TE formations using Backman, Pruit & Pickren on a regular basis & I think another Fr (forget name offhand # is in the 30's IIRC???)
With Steve playing TE I would rather not comment. I hope you all understand
Tight end Tristan Henderson cleared to play for UAB, head coach Garrick McGee says

From Drew's column about the coach's show:

"Tristan Henderson, NCAA cleared Tristan to play for them. Tristan's 26 years old, married man, been in a war before. What he brings to the table is a different deal. He's big, he's physical, he's mean, a mature guy. They just got the ruling today so he won't play this weekend, but he's going to be out there next weekend."

LSU is a rough team to play against to be introduce to division 1 football.
Yep, but if he can kind of hang in there against them, CUSA should not be as tough!
I'll take my chances with a 26 year old dominating some 18 year old DE.
If I seeing the reply right, he wasn't practicing so he's got some catching up to do there so I wouldn't expect much out of him until conference play. Then again they might feature him expecting the opponent to take that same view
Probably a few weeks away from seeing any substantial playing time, however there are several TE's that will probably play this weekend.

Just as the case in a lot of other positions, those that appear to be doing a little better will get more of the snaps as the season progresses.

Should we decide to use 2 TE's on some plays, the depth will come in handy.
The NCAA sure waited long enough, and now he can't even be ready for the first game or two. Ridiculous!

For the NCAA Clearing House, this is a "fast track" answer. We would likely be still waiting if not for the national stench they got from the MTSU / former Marine affair.
They were too busy w/ manziel
