I was unable to go today due to my wife taken my jeep offroading.

Any good info from today?

I really liked it. was swamped with students which was great.

Only complaint is it went by too fast, plenty of events that my family didn't get the opportunity to do because of the crowd/pace. Should only get better each year.

A big hit!

I got zero info other than the entire Basketball Team was present, all 8 of them and no new faces. Biberaj is a big dude, at least compared to everyone else which isn't saying much.

Also saw Marsharee there, I guess they had an alumni event afterwards.

Did any other posters here go? I did, and I really enjoyed myself. Turnout was kind of light, maybe a couple of thousand. I always like it when I get the chance to step out onto our field. Bobby Wilder gathered the at the 30 yard line and the coaches let fans volunteer to participate in running a play from the 10 which resulted in a TD; others were then allowed to take part in a defensive play. Autograph tables were set up for all 18 sports with two athletes signing at each. Nate Barnes, and of course TH were there at the football table, and that line was pretty long.

There was a table set up showing this season's helmets and the new jersey. I really do like the matte finish helmet a lot. The band played a good set for the crowd from where they were in the home side seats. We were given previews of both the new intro video (filmed in B&W) and the 4th Quarter Intro Video (really great) which is designed to get the 12th Monarchs pumped for the home stretch. The special surprise was awesome. Any fan who wanted was allowed to gather at the end zone tunnel to enter the field as if they were a player. The band was lined up on either side, they pumped the intro music loud, hit the extinguisher smoke and we all ran out there with the players high fiving us at the other end. It was pretty cool! Thank you ODU Athletic Department!

I thought it was a nice touch.

Well, it was a surprise to me. I must not be spending enough time reading and talking about ODU sports. lol
