UPS gonna drop spouse coverage. Forever 21 stores going to reduce workers hours to 29. You have to think through laws before implementation. For working people, insurance will cost people more money. For people on welfare and or illegally here, they get improved healthcare benefits.

1st UPS is dropping coverage for only those spouses who are eligible to receive insurance through their own employer.

2nd Forever21... "the retailer says it “staffs its stores based on projected store sales, completely independent of the Affordable Care Act.” The recent decision, it says, affects 196 employees, or less than 1 percent of all U.S. store workers. As part of the statement, Forever 21 also noted that it has promoted and converted 421 part-time store employees to full-time status since March of this year.

Finally please show me where Obamacare provides benefits for those here illegally.

I just got notice of a huge 67% increase in my monthly insurance payment, prescription deductible goes up 100%, and my general deductible increases 25%. Plus, my insurance company is paying less and less, meaning I get billed more and more from my doctor. And, I work for a very large entity. This will take a big bite out of my paycheck.

My son does not work, and I pay for his health insurance. I got indications that his individual health insurance premiums will be increasing at least 100% (probably more). That will make it completely unaffordable. When his premiums go up, I will drop his insurance and he will go on the public dole. Plus, I will have most of my non-routine medical care done in Canada or Mexico. There's more than one way to get around this crap.

Does anyone get turned away when they walk into the emergency room? No. Who pays for that? Me and the other tax payors/ people covered by and paying for insurance. Why 29 hours? that is a weird number. Why not 30? oh yeah they will pay have to offer insurance.

This will have a huge affect on insurance offered thru private companies. Whether you want to believe it or not. Who gets holding the bag, the tax payers.

Plus, if you are married and now your spouse has to get insurance from his/her company or organization, it might cost more out of pocket for the family.

03-lmfao Love the rightwing talking points! Good stuff. I don't disagree they are purposely putting some of their part time workers below the Obamacare 30 hour threshold. But given that they hired on more than that full time tells me that it DOES have more to do with sales than with Obamacare.

So what about the people that have no insurance, that we're paying for every time they go to the doctor, many times expensive emergency room visits?

In other words the vast majority of Americans support the main tenants of Obamacare. Most who oppose it make their living in the pharmaceutical or insurance sectors of the economy or are in the top 1% and could give 2 ***** about the Americans that make their businesses profitable.

Medicare is having $ problems because of Congresspeople who voted for the requirement that Medicare not be able to price negotiate for drug purchases as the VA, the Native American Health Service and the state of Illinois are on behalf of those who can't afford the prescription drugs they need. Medicare Part D was written with the Drug and Insurance companies in mind and supported heavily by the Cons, go figure. Allow Medicare to price negotiate for drug purchases and pay what the British, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand and other national health services pay for drugs and Medicare costs will go down substantially. If the Cons weren't whores for the drug and insurance companies this would be law now.

I do. The young, who wouldn't go to the doctor anyway, subsidize everyone else.

I'm speaking to Bob's point. He said that people support parts of the bill, so it equates to support of the bill.

The public does not support the mandate. Since it drives the bill, therefore, one cannot fairly argue they support the bill.

He's making the point of everyone on the anti-bill side. You can't parcel out public opinion on individual parts of the bill and then say that people really like the bill, but don't know it.
