Predict a 10-2 season. Check out the detailed analysis including projected odds of winning each game. Highest ranked CUSA team. Tulsa ranked 59, East Carolina 58. Other notables Houston 95, SMU 68, Boise State 46...
Nice to see someone go out on a limb, sounds reasonable with just a few bits of incorrect info (Shahin is gone, Decell behind in punting race, didn't mention mass departure at TE). I have no idea if this website is any good, but if Rice finishes 10-2 with a competitive bowl game against an SEC club and ranked ~#36, I think us Rice fans would be pretty happy.

Ya think? Seriously, has Rice football been ranked in the Top 50 since 1964 (just short of 50 years)?

We received a top 25 vote or two by the end of '08.
I hope they are right. I hope this gives the players some swagger, and a little pressure to perform well with confidence. It is time.

Well, there's enough locker room material to motivate them, as well. Yesterday, on yet another ESPN discussion on A&M and the Manziel situation, they again mentioned that the Aggies should have no trouble winning their opening game against Rice without Johnny Football.

Good to see this. I think this team is capable of living up to the article. I think if we stay healthy, we will have an exciting year. Can't wait for the season to start. Thanks for sharing.
Nice to see someone actually give the optimistic view of our season. Most national writers just see the word Rice and assume we'll be mediocre as usual and nobody will notice if they're wrong because we're so low profile. This is obviously a sunny scenario, but seems more likely to be right than the 6-6 from USA Today, America's worst newspaper. Although somewhere in between is probably the most likely.

I agree with you 07. I think most of the writers out there do not do their homework on teams that are not in the AQ conferences.

does anyone know if you can still pick up a copy of the fb poster?
The SA Express-News ranked Rice 6th in Texas - the top-ranked team outside the SEC and Big 12. (Paper article featured a nice photo of Charles Ross, but I can't find it outside the paywall.)
