Someone started a thread about the High School Championship games being played at Huskie Stadium in Dekalb. Edgytim had a dig on the size of our press box. Wish we could put up a mobile press box to help with crowding.

Yeah, he's a huge Illinois State lover. He's already talked about moving it back there, now we know his lame agenda. It's all about him. Solution - don't credential him.
Good, it's a POS and we need a real box if we want our program to grow with the needed donations, corporate sponsorships and improved game day experance to bring in more fans.
Today is Fraizer's first day. If the past month he was off the clock then I can't wait to see what he does on the clock!

Neither was rome nor will huskie stadium press box be built in a day...yet NEVER lose sight of where things were a decade ago.
I would wildly guess the start to any construction is at least three years out.

The sooner the better as it seems bond prices are going up and it will cost NIU more if they wait.

My understanding is for projects like this at the university they aren't allowed to go the bond route anymore. The Chessick Center was built purely by donations is my understanding, and I would guess any new press box with suites, loge boxes, etc. would be built similarly by donations up front.
So what was that extra little box for, that they added on recently?
Aren't press/suite structures always built onpartial donations, and the rest on rental guarantees....

Basically a control room for the new audio system and videoboard. Maybe for replays too?
He's become more of a typical BCS rivals guy. Really loves U of I and thinks everyone should go there. Also huge mancrush on PJ. Has written next to nothing regarding our recruits or who we are recruiting. He's an SIU grad.
The title of his comment -- "strike one against NIU" -- makes his agenda pretty clear.

Replay officials booth along with some small additional space if really needed.
I think it was built oversized for the IHSA games.
Tell him to sit on the east side with his ipad.....does he think that he is some kind of big time jounalist,,,
