As long as he can play. Even if it's with a cast, him being out there is crucial.
Please God don't let our season start out like this.

Clark played with a cast for almost the entire season last year. Really not a big deal.
A hand or arm injury is much preferred to a leg.
Blanking on the name, but didn't one of our CB's play with a club hand a couple years back, even got an interception.

Oh ya, I remember him, "Clubby"....he was the best
It just depends on if he is practicing or not which is hard to tell from the article. If the injury is keeping him out of practice there is cause for concern obviously, it not, there is probably not.
He is practicing with a club on his hand.

Also, his name is Jimmie.
Ward is a force without a cast. I'd like to see him whack a few Hawkeyes with the cast on.

Chris Smith. I had him in one of my classes, along with Victor Jacques and Ante Dzepina. Chris was... special.

Ah yes, he was my favorite player to watch on game days back then. I remember in my Poli Sci class I had Casey Weston, Sean Progar, and Akeem Daniels. I think that was fall semester my senior year. Akeem was a freshman. Casey was.... also special.

Gives a new meaning to the term "clubbing".

Hahahaha. Looks right to me!
Larry English played with a cast. Whoever said an arm or hand injury is better than a leg - so right!
Jimmie Ward will continue to kick azz & take names.

Smith was the DB that had a hand cast and played. I think he is the one you are thinking about.
I know it is just a cast on his hand and he can still play, but it still isn't good. What if he has the opportunity for an interception? That could be crucial. A DE doesn't need to ever catch the ball.
