Every bus trip I have been on has been well worth it just for the camaraderie alone. Can relax, etc and don't have to worry about driving or helping the driver navigate, etc. Very stress free.

Not too sure about that "not having to help the driver navigate" . We had problems with the South Carolina bus getting there, got going the wrong way and then had to backtrack... Then with the UNC trip,, there was lots of confusion about where the bus was going to be AFTER the game,,, which led to lots of worries. Then the next morning getting out of there, the bus took a wrong turn or 2 and we wound up driving all around the campus, only to wind back up at the motel again 20 minutes later, and then we finally got on the right track.....

Thats not to say that I wouldnt take more bus trips,,, just that they arent always a "breeze".

Former UAB Associatee A.D. Bobby Staub has been named the new Sr. Associate A.D. at Florida International, effective July 1. Bobby had been the A.D. at Louisiana Monroe until recently, leading ULM athletics to improvement in just about every area, on the field and off. But their president is a moron and did not renew his contract.

At the very least, a move from Monroe to Miami is an upgrade. Congrats to Bobby for the new gig.

Yes congrats to Bobby on the move. I wanted to see him back at Bartow, but I guess that wasn't in the cards.

And you are correct about the ULM Pres (Nick Bruno) being a moron. He has taken control of most everything and run off many good people. ULM Athletics (pre Bobby Staub) was not only the laughing stock of Louisiana, it was the laughing stock of the entire college athletic world. It will be on that path again if the Prez has his way.

But hey, at least they have an on campus football stadium. (One that makes Legion Field look like Cowboy's Stadium.)

Maybe it was the hangover, but I thought they were just showing us the campus.
I enjoyed our tour of Columbia.

Seriously I recommend taking the bus. It's a great way to travel and we did have a good time.
What time is the game?
Does anyone know if there is another person/number to call to get a spot on the bus? I keep getting transferred to a line that has no voice mail. Being in MS makes it difficult to just pop down to campus like I used before I moved. If anyone can help with a contact person, that would be most appreciated.

I hope one of these can help you.

The NAS is charging $25 for a seat only for the bus to the Vandy game if you are like me and already have your ticket. I stopped by the Alumni House this morning to see and I paid for my two seats. I couldn't get a good answer on how many seats were still available though.

GO BLAZERS!!!
I see on uabsports.com that the game time for the Vandy game has not been announced yet.

I guess it is dependent on the other SEC games.

With that said, it would be ideal I think for us to have a 2 pm game that way we could get down there & back in one normal day.
I got an email today saying my tickets were shipped via stub hub if anyone still hasn't got theirs.
I received the same e-mail.
still waiting for my email , etc

The $EC doesn't normally release the time until the week, or 2 weeks, before the game due to TV. I could see this being the Raycom (or whatever it is now) game of the week, which would be about an 11AM kickoff. Otherwise, I suspect it'd be a 2-3 pm game.
My tickets arrived yesterday safe and sound!
Both my Vandy and Troy tickets came today.

Great to hear bud.
Thanks, and by "today" I mean the UPS truck pulled up while I was opening the envelope with the Troy tickets.
