Maybe if he straightens out whatever he has done wrong, then he might could come back. A close friend of mine with a landscaping business is always saying "The best way to motivate my employees is to fire the best worker for something, the rest get the message".
The one position I think we could afford to lose a player at is wide receiver. I hope whatever Jackie did wrong is correctable for his and the team's sake.

Uhmmm, I come to see the team play, and hopefully win. I couldn't pick this kid out in a line up with a name tag on his shirt. Stands till gonna have the same amount of folks until we win, with or without.

After reading these tweets and some post this is ridiculous.
My apologize if it upsets some folks, but really. I know these kids put a lot out on the field, but don't think that you are bigger than the program. We are all cogs in the machine and when you don't do what you are suppose to do, you get removed and replaced.
I know some folks think you can't or shouldn't question the coach, but it's gonna happen. When you invest money (tickets, gas, merchandise,donations) and time into something you feel vested and just want a little clarity. With that said, the man was hired to do a job and his job is to win games and build this program. So if he ruffles a few feathers to get the desired end results, as long as its ethical and reasonable, who am I to judge.

There are a lot of really good reasons not to follow college kids on twitter.

Seriously, though. Those guys are my kids' peers. And 40+ sometimes has a hard time remembering how 19 -21 thinks.

he broke the rules and got kicked off the team. it sucks but its his fault. im proud be support a team that would do this. unlike texas a & m that is going to start a player they know is breaking ncaa rules because they think it cant be proven. I like our head coach a lot more today knowing this.

I have no idea what happened, but we have to give coach the benefit of the doubt here... Otherwise the whole damn construct breaks. Wild speculation, ephemeral tweets, and personal sources undisclosed amount to jack n' squat.

"There is no 'I' in team". But on the other hand, if there is something wrong with our coach then we'll know it at the very least by the end of next season anyway. A good coach is the embodiment of knowledge, resourcefulness, motivation, and perhaps above all, JUSTICE.

A team's product on the field speaks to these qualities of its coach and cannot speak without them.

There is a ME in team, however.

Another fun twitter quote was something like, "Bench players be talkin like they starters, smh." I think someone finally deleted that one.

I just don't see CGM running our best WR off with no cause. I have no idea what happened and don't care to speculate. There must have been something required of Jackie (and the rest of the team) that the coach thought was important and Jackie didn't treat as all that important.

Guess who wins that argument?
