I think if I was Tilford I'd be looking for another home unless I didn't mind sitting the bench for 4 years. UC is recruting SG's now and Tilford is just going to be a backup to Downey at the point guard spot. I think I would be looking for a team that needs a point guard if I wanted to play. Don
Tilford is excited about Cronin coming in and isn't going anywhere.
So Don, what is up with all the negativity lately? Why cant you point out that Mich had recruited Dom while he was at Murray State, or the fact that Tilford has come out and said that "Mick will make him a better player"?
Wow we definitely have some idiots on this board. Yeah lets transfer, because they are recruiting another guard, God Forbid!!!

well, Don, if that is true, then OSU's Butler should transfer because of the incoming highly rated guards. Listen, Tilford has a year experience under his belt at Cincy and he will know more of what it will take to earn playing time next year. He doesn't have to transfer and sit out a year, HE can get plenty of playing time next year at UC in the NCAA BEST CONFERENCE...BIG EAST. Playing in the Big East is surely more demanding and challenging than the Big 10 so Tilford will just be fine, thank you... BEARCAT54
I hope Tilford comes back. He's shown on occasion that he can play big time college basketball. Though, if he wants a role on this team, that shot's got to improve.
Where is Tilford going to transfer too? A school that already has 6 or 7 guards on their roster 04-rock
I pretty much agree with the consensus... Don, you're REALLY starting to reach lmfao

Ziggy,
I believe that next year we will see a much better Tilford. He won't be looking over his shoulder and he will gain confidence with more playing time. He has a very good outside shot. It just needed for him to relax more and play his game...to let the Game come to him. He'll do great. Don't forget the difference in how Tony Bobbitt played after his first season.

From watching him play, he didn't seem to have a good outside shot. Though that could be due to what you alluded to. And I'd hesitate to make the Tony comparision.
I don't think it's a reach that Downey will play point guard before Tilford unless I missed something. Then these SG's coming in are recruited by Mick and they are JC's that have been in college for 2 years and are older not to mention bigger. I think Tilford will be a backup and just get some playing time off the bench. Are you saying he is going to start? Oh and is idiot the best you can come up with? I got past idiot in grade school and went on to some real downers. I can make a sailor blush. Don
Tilfords going to be up in a major way...he's in an environment 1000 times more stable than it was when he started his uc career and he'll be getting significantly more mins now that chadd, jihad are gone...i was a little disappointed that he didn't step up as much as devan did this year, but i do expect big things for 07

Who said he's going to start? He sure as hell won't ride the bench like he did this year. He's going to get solid minutes next year, no reason to transfer. If he wanted to go somewhere where he was going to start, why the hell did he come to UC in the first place? Oh that's right, to play for a great team. We may be, for the moment, a far cry to where we were, but I feel Mick will do just fine. No shame in being a role player.

Then, using your logic, Leonard Stokes should have never come to UC since Dermarr Johnson was here. And Burton should have left when Flint showed up. And Satterfield shouldn't have come since Logan was here. But once Satterfield came Logan should have left. Kirkland should have left a long time ago, etc., etc. Your post makes no sense other then you looking for a reason for Mick to fail.

Try mixing the downers with some uppers. Great effects dude!

I think you would have to ask Tilford who was MR Kentucky in basketball if he wants to be a role player. He may not even know what a role player is. I doubt if that is his goal. Don

First off, I feel the Mr.'s of all states don't usually go to best player, but if he were to transfer, he'd concede to the fact that the critics were right, he isn't a major D-1 player. I hope he has it in him to prove them wrong, which goes contrary to my thoughts of him being a role player. He knew what he was getting himself into when he committed. At the time Huggs was still around, and still getting great (debatable I know) players. He knew Huggs had the capabilities to bring in great players. Now, for the time being, the level of talent isn't what it used to be in Clifton, so now more than ever, does he have a chance to take advantage of this new situaiton he is presented with.

We don't have to ask him, he told us already. You're the only one who thinks he should leave. Even Dominic doesn't think that Dominic should leave.
Look at Eric Hick's statistics his freshmen year- I think he averaged 3 pts per game. It would be be very difficult to add someone as a freshmen who was an impact player.
he'll get plenty of time now that downey is leaving
