Here is how the AP see's the AAC:

Predicted order of finish

1. Louisville

2. Central Florida

3. Rutgers

4. Houston

5. Cincinnati

6. USF

7. UConn

8. SMU

9. Memphis

10. Temple
Cincy will be higher than 4th.
I thought UC was vastly underrated in this poll....oh well. Another year we play with chips on our shoulders.
LMAO
We've been picked anywhere from 4th to 10th. I think nobody quite knows how we will do (myself included). We had a very young offense that averaged 30+ points a game last year that's returning nearly everyone. Unfortunately, our defense was one of the 5 worst in the country. We have a new defensive coordinator that has been successful everywhere he has been (as opposed to the old coordinator who has failed everywhere he has been).

I wont be surprised if we finish that high. Simply fielding an competent D1 defense would get us pretty close to that level of performance. That said, I also wouldn't be shocked if we struggle. We are still pretty young. Personally, I think Cinci is going to be quite good.
link?
These preseason polls are complete crap. That's why we play the games because anything can happen. Just play and win and the rest will fall in place.
Swap Cincy for Rutgers and I would say it is accurate. Rutgers will suck this year. They are getting too much respect for nothing. They lost to a lousy Kent State last year on a team that loaded with NFL players, which are now gone.
swap cinci n rutgers and yah

Never thought I'd hear the day where we'd be referring to 11-3 teams as lousy. What would you call UH and USM last year? 04-cheers

Id call them lousy too. Rutgers was lousy, and lost to kent state that was pretty lousy too. Kent State lost to 2-10 Kentucky lawl...

A 9-4 Rutgers with NFL talent will only go down after the talent leaves.
You know this league is actually really competitive. It's gonna be a fun year. I was shocked to see UH in fourth, but ill take it at this point. I would be pretty happy to see it end up that way after last season. Lets win the OOC games and prove we belong.[/quote]

Nova threw 5 picks in that game. Rutgers had a very good defense last year and a overall solid team.

Not a poll, that is Russo's picks.
I'll go out on a limb and state that Rutgers will not finish in the top 3.

I also think that USF will finish no worse than 4th and Cincinnati no worse than 3rd.
SMU will be at worst 5th

Yes because Rutgers, unlike every other program in scholastic athletics, doesn't have underclassmen who move up. The defense will certainly take a step back this year, but the offense really had nowhere to go but up. Personally, I'll be happy with an 8-4 team this year. Of course, the bar between a lousy team and a good team is apparently way above 10 games nowadays!

I think SMU will surprise people this year. 04-cheers

How do you justify this prediction? New QB, New coach and you pick them to be 4th?
