Barring injury, he's already won the job.

The rookie center Fredrick also looks like the REAL DEAL. Damn he's big, tall, strong, athletic and smart.
Awesome!
Anyone have a huge mobile LT they are now using at this time???? Titletown lost another one during last practice.

Fredrick might move to guard, they want the best five on the line regardless of what position they play.

If I were building an NFL team my offensive linemen would always be from the BIG and my defensive linemen would always be from the $EC.
That's awesome!

The guys calling the game the other night were saying that Frederick was calling the protections for the line and everything. Glad that he is a smart rookie...and has been able to absorb so much already. Dallas desperately needs some leadership on the line.
Jedi....do you think he played better at center or guard? I want him at center....but IF Costa could stay healthy....maybe it would be good for him to play guard.

I doubt they move him now.

The guy was not only calling out the signals at the line, he was calling out the defensive coverages. IN HIS FIRST NFL ACTION. Thats amazing.

Sure, he's gonna get preseaon and camp work at guard too, but I think he's the center from here on.

Its been over a decade since we had a really strong and smart center, so I definitely want him at center. Its just easier to plug in an effective guard than a center or tackle.

Costa just isn't very powerful. I've seen him and Arkin get blown 5 yards off the line of scrimmage way too many times. Costa is a little better and smarter looking player than Arkin though. He is also a decent pass blocker, but we need power in the middle.

I was hoping to squeeze one decent year from Livings or Bernadeau, but it doesn't look good.

Looks like the guard spot opposite of Leary is the weak spot this year. Thats a lot better than the center and BOTH guard positions being a huge weaknesses, which has been the case for 3-4 years now.

Leary will get beat at times this year because he's basically a rookie, but he can drive block a mac truck. You can't teach that.
Word is Cowboys are close to signing vertern guard Brandon Moore.

If they if they do it keeps Fredrick at center and Leary will start opposite at the other guard.

Looks like its one of their deepest positions right now. Tanner, Randle, Dunbar all looking good. Tanner and Dunbar have both trimmed down and came into camp in spectacular condition. Randle was slowed by missing all the rookie and early season camps due to surgery, but he is starting to show some flashes. Its a great mixture of running styles. Good special teams additions as well.

With Dallas its also really all about the blocking. The interior of the line has been as terrible as any in the NFL. You have to open some holes. With Leary and Fredrick in the middle its likely they can get more of a push. Both players are massive and known for their power blocking abilities. Running between LT Tyrone Smith and Leary already looks like the best option they have had in several years. Fredrick looks like he may be a giant leap forward at center. If they can just hold up in pass protection. Fredrick sure looks mobile enough and bull rushes should be much harder to pull off against him and Leary. We been geting beat on bull rushes up the middle way too much the last few seasons.

Signing Moore could be another upgrade if he's in the shape thats being reported.
