What do you guys think?
I think Syracuse goes bowling.
I think it is blind guessing and worthless.

I think they have a very good chance especially if they at least split there first 2 games
I just hope Syracuse builds off of last year, a strong Syracuse and Pitt program will greatly raise the ACC stock in the NorthEast.

I would be surprised if SU doesnt go bowling this year. ESPN rated SU's running backs as being the best in the Acc. Every one of them return from last season. No one was able to stop the Orange running game last season. The two starters ran for over 2000 yards last season.

There are a couple of holes to plug on the Oline and Dline but lots experience from last season to plug those holes with. SU's coach is unknown. He's a first time HC but is the former DC for the Orange. The kids will run thru brick buildings for him. The defense should not miss a beat.

Replacing Nassib is the biggest concern, but there are at least 2 good looking QB's that are going to dook it out to see who wins the QB battle. The new OC likes to throw the ball around and looks to run a similar offense as Marrone ran, where they snapped the ball every 11 seconds on average last season.

I agree that if Pitt and SU can find there former glory, it will go a long way in helping the Acc. The problem is, that Pitt and SU have never been really good at the same time. 03-banghead
I think Pitt will be a 6-6 type of team this year. We just don't yet have the horses needed to play the "Wisconsin" style of game. Whether or not we will ever have the horses to play that type of game is an open question. However, we clearly do not have them at present and that will show up against good defensive teams like Florida State, Miami, etc.

The hope is that in another year or two, as these big guys develop into behemoths, we'll be able to control the LOS against most of the teams we play against and have a good chance to beat the FSUs and Miamis of the world just as Wisky semi-consistently has done for some time now against the likes of Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, etc. Time will tell if that strategy will work. However, I will say that I do like going with a theory that is really against the grain of what just about everyone else in CFB is doing these days. I think it gives us an excellent chance to be successful in the long term. Again though, only time will tell.
I think it'd be cool to see a Texas A&M vs. Louisville matchup in a BCS bowl, especially if Teddy wins the Heisman. Then you'd have two Heisman winning QBs squaring off. Think of the ratings. God that would be so awesome.

I take all this as a grain of salt, because each team has to still winner their games and who knows, who will get injured this season. Like Coach Strong said this week, the most important team on Louisville schedule right now is Ohio. 07-coffee3
