GO CARDS!!!

This just in: your QB was sacked and threw a pick on the first possession.
Be happy with the ending part, though.
Louisville: Hi College Football Fans! We might be upstarts but we plan to stick around for awhile.

Three thoughts:
1.) I really like those Louisville unis.
2.) What was the 'controversy" they were speaking of?
3.) Why did Browning Nagle flame out so badly in the pros? He looks like he had the tools so why was he a bust?

I think, he never got good at reading pro pass coverage.
Controversy was Arizona failed to recognize MLK Day and some wanted to cancel or boycott the Fiesta Bowl altogether. It later passed and nothing else said.
I met Nagle in 88 or 89, just after he transferred from WVU. Nagle only ended up at UofL because Coach Nehlen knew the type offense Howard ran and knew Browning was the perfect fit.

Coach Schnellenberger took us out to the turf at Old Cardinal Stadium and said watch what this kid can do. Browning would get down on one knee at the 50 yard line and throw the ball throw the goal post at either end of the field. The guy had a cannon for an arm.

WVU was a bad choice for Nagle because Coach Nehlen chose to switch to more of an option type system when Major Harris came to Moragntown. Browning never had the opportunity to learn a true passing offense until he came to UofL. Nagle still managed to spend 5 years in the NFL which is a long career now days for an average QB.

It is worth noting that Browning's son BJ has transferred to Louisville St. X from Memphis Briarcrest Christian. Not sure if he will be as good as his Dad but he is getting every opportunity. BJ will be playing for former Indianapolis Colt and Pittsburgh Steeler, Wil Wolford at X.
BJ is getting recruited by some big schools, Auburn, LSU, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Vandy and Wisconsin among others. He made an unofficial to UofL last September.
