Whoo hoo!! Now let's go and keep its readership up!!
And not one mention of a team that will be in the AAC come May 12th, 2014.
Still no dedicated writer or link from the blogs home page, though.

True, but it is looking up and we ARE the only G5 conference to have that distinction. It's the sort of thing which seems to be forgotten when we are in self-flagellation mode.
Has there ever been an answer as to why Stanford has a dedicated blog on the front page? Could a donor have seriously bought out ESPN, if so, that is some solid journalistic integrity.
Wait...did you just use the word journalism in the same sentence as ESPN?
Who cares? It will be gone by next season even if it has a massive readership and a billion comments.
We've had the 'shell' blog up for a couple weeks now... I'm glad they seem to be finally uploading stories, but it won't become 'real' until we get a blogger. But I am very happy we at least have a blog location, and a place to chat on gameday.

Incidently, I've not been on espn since the FB requirement dropped. From the comment numbers on the articles, looks like almost everyone who used to post has left. Ghost town. I'll get a FB account and give espn another try... but it won't be the same without the old lively crowd that used to post there.
Well so far the stories appear to have only included UofL and Rutgers - 2 teams with one foot out the door.

This is on AAC media day.
Looks more like the Teddy Bridgewater blog Rimshot

Oh come on haven't ESPN's actions proved they are committed to being a valuable media partner? 03-lmfao

ESPN's website is now pretty much useless to anyone that is not a fan of the P5 conference teams.

The AAC blog is a farce. Media day was yesterday. Did anyone from ESPN even go to it? I don't think so.

Aresco said that Burke Mangus and other ESPN execs were there. I don't think any of their national reporters were there, though. They did have some staff as it was broadcast on ESPN3.
I think I figured out why we keep giving the blog hits and keep getting the same warmed over crap.

PSU is the lead story in today's AAC blog. What? Are they team #12 ahead of Navy??
Gang please come to grips with one simple reality: the AAC is a mid major conference now, we are part of the G5 (the Big East's AQ they HAVE to grant us this year aside). As such, we are not going to get the coverage the P5 schools get. It's just that simple.

Heck the Big East as a true BCS conference struggled with media perception, respect, etc and that was with Cuse, Pitt, WVA, and the gang. It wasn't warranted as I said time and again the Big East (most years) was WAY WAY WAY better than people gave us credit for (our OOC/bowl game records testify to this). But I digress...

Point is we are seen as the bastard reincarnation of a conference that was already seen as the "Big Least" in it's day so don't expect anybody in the national media to sing our praises...
