Nothing is certain at this point.
If C-USA expands it will be reactive to someone moving on and it will be market driven. As bad as they have been to this point I would really think that GA State would have to be attractive with the Atlanta market. Another two possibilities could be UT-Arlington in Dallas/Forth Worth or UA-Little Rock in Little Rock. I really hope that we don't expand for a while and if we do it is not with a I-AA school.
There is nobody available that provides enough value to further water down revenue % allocation. Simple as that.
Commish has been pushing for 16 but has been unable to get all of the schools to agree to it. I think any short term moves will only be in reaction to someone else leaving.

I say if someone leaves, fine, let's get down to 12
If UTEP leaves we'll be at 13.
I second staying at 12 if C-USA loses two members. I'd prefer increased revenue shares and the development of the conference as is. GA State may have an attractive market, but their influence in it is minimal. They are more akin to pitfall than prize.
You guys know you want JMU in CUSA. Especially Razor. I bet we could get Razor special seats for the ass beatings in Rocktown. I know we are down 0-2. Stand up and admit. That would be the biggest grudge/hate match in the state since UVa conceded competiveness with VT. We both would have shiny new 40,000 seat stadiums, admit it. We could both lift a leg on Yeager at the same time.

We could come up with a trophy, winner holds until defeated.

If JMU stays in the CAA JMU is lifting a leg on itself.
If UTEP is out, New Mexico State should replace them. Good academics (Tier 1 Research University) and good basketball. Football needs a lot of work, but with CUSA signing on to the New Mexico bowl for 2014+, it's the most logical replacement should UTEP ever be out, and it brings CUSA to a new state. Also, NMSU is only about 30 minutes away from UTEP.

I think CUSA should stay at 14 because the financial difference is so negligible in the grand scheme between 12 and 14. I like strength in numbers, and it makes the league more dynamic.

..but without UTEP, NMSU would be a major outlier. I think that's why stAte and UL have been mentioned in recent articles but not the Aggies.

True. Though UTEP is currently one as is, and I think it's doubtful NMSU would ever get invited to the MWC with UNM and UTEP nearby.
Arkansas State/Louisiana may be next, though I think much will depend on whatever makes the most sense for the TV networks.

With that said, losing any of the Texas schools would be a major blow to the league IMO. Each bring good qualities that would be very difficult to replace, especially UTSA and UTEP.

Although I don't want NMSU, their new football coach seems to be getting the job done on the recruiting front so far for 2014.

Hopefully he can find some time to power was their dump of a stadium when recruiting season is over.
