Cincy just installed it at Nippert.

And Houston just installed it at their football practice facility. We'll have one grass practice field, and one UBU turf field running side by side.

Here's some info on the product.

Houston's new stadium will have artificial turf in 2014, but no decision has been made yet on what brand. At least we'll get to test out UBU before making a decision.

Other stadiums using UBU turf:

Superdome
MetLife Stadium
Paul Brown Stadium
Metrodome
Aloha Stadium

Pics look good. Ill be taking off from IAH in a few weeks. Looking forward to an arial view.
I was on campus taking summer classes about a month ago and I don't remember a taco bell being there. O_o

I know there's one in The Satellite (the one I usually eat at) but in this case, looks like I have a new source without having to go to the freeway during those drunken nights I don't want Whataburger.

In the second picture, look at the bottom left hand corner. What is that greyish material directly adjacent to the field sideline stripe. It looks like rocks or asphalt. I'm thinking that's not a good idea if it's asphalt.

My guess is that the picture was taken from a rooftop. What you're seeing is the gravel roof. Notice you can't see the sideline from that view. There are no hash marks.

Actually, I would hope that we're using the same turf on the practice field as we do in the stadium.
BTW, beautiful skyline. We have a lot of GREAT away game locales. Beats locations like Purdue (West Lafayette, IN). Far better than most other conferences. Look forward to making some.

lol. Thats exactly what that is. Its a gutter. I was perceiving the roof gutter as the sideline. I was thinking, why the hell do we have a rock surface right next to the field.....

Yeah, and the barrier between the roof and field in that pic must be a gutter.

Do yourself and your stomach a favor and head to Taco Palenque at Gulfgate. Just do it on a non-drunken night since I drive in the area too. :-)

It's a few minutes down the Gulf Freeway to Woodridge, or a few minutes down OST to Telephone Road if you're avoiding the freeway.
