I just cant understand how they think they are this sweet little innocent school.
Im an athiest and I would never say man I really just want to bash in Chris Macks head blah blah blah or anyone for that matter. I know the school, fan base and members who post on internet forums dont represent all catholics in the world(with some of my friends and im sure a good majority of bearcat fans) , but that just a sad excuse to call yourself religious if you say things like that. About anyone.
But to call UC thugs and everything else that comes out of that schools mouth, what a joke

The beauty of religion is you can be as pompous as you'd like as long as you ask for forgiveness in the end.
A wise person once told me to never conflate morals and ethics with religion.
That being said, those XU clowns must have a severe inferiority complex.
While I don't like to make blanket statements as I don't believe in very many absolutes, I have found an inverse correlation between hyper-religiosity and self-introspection. Piety can be an ugly thing when you're doing ugly things, and it seems apparent to me at least that there is a causal effect between piety and those ugly things.
One of the reasons I've been ok with the series ending is because Xavier has lead the charge down this ugly path and done so without remorse. Until they hop off that pedestal and give UC and this series the respect and civility it deserves I don't ever need to see another Crosstown Shootout again.
It seems Xavier has become the school they believe UC to be.
Why did you bring up religion....so what if they're Catholics, im Catholic as well, but i can act like an ass clown sometimes too.

Thats why I said They dont represent all catholics and I put that part in there to make it clear thats not what I think of all catholics. But I put the religion part in there, because they are a catholic school. And when you think Xavier..thats what you think. catholic people in a catholic school and environment should act respectable. They, without knowing are representing their religion along with their school and in my eyes embarrassing and giving a bad name to both

I posted it because it boggles my mind everyday that X claims to be the innocent school in everything.
Ive read a lot of bearcat message boards and I havent seen a bearcat fan say things like this. And this was MULTIPLE X fans. not just one. And not a single fan that I saw said anything about saying things like this is embarrassing. I know if someone posted something like that on this board there would be a lot of people saying how uncalled for those comments are. Just continues to show how classy Bearcats and Bearcat fans are despite the local media
If you dont like it thats fine. It still got views and thats what i wanted..

I went to a public high school with 95+% of its students who are Catholic. I did an informal survey among football players over the last 50 years and asked them which opponent played the dirtiest in their day. The answer, 100% of the time, was a school with Catholic or St. in its name.

This is nothing new, everybody saw how they and there fans acted at the fight and after, X fans have been pompous a**holes for the last 30 years and their girls are still the F***ing ugliest around. In a more serious note, I think it is going to be great fun to watch their fan base implode when they continually finish in the bottom half of their new league and don't make the NCAA tournament with any kind of regularity. No gimme Fordham, St. Bonnie, etc. anymore, I'll bet Seton Hall and DePaul WILL BOTH BEAT THEM THIS YEAR.

Xavier is a somewhat of a financially poor school. Basketball is what they have to get their name in front of the most people, so they broke down and sold their soul when they brought in the likes of Lyons and Holloway.
They lost their right to look down their noses at UC a while ago.

nawwww, most of them go to Confession before they go out to party and get drunk or attack UC bb players from the stands and then expect that makes them good to go. I still haven't figured out how they can have MONTE CARLO gambling fund raisers and Beer Tents, where most of them are soused , and not think that was the kind of stuff that Jesus was upset with when he turned the tables over at the Temple for making the Holy place of worship into a market.

they'll have a little bit better chance to beat Butler sometimes since their Coach left to coach the pros. Something we won't see Chris Mack be invited to do in his lifetime.
Xavier is nothing but a worthless school. Did anyone read Cliff Peale's story in the Enquirer a couple of months ago. Peale indicated that Xavier offers all incoming freshman a 50% reduction in tuition (they can't get anyone to go there because of the lousy school and high tuition costs), they use an old building to house freshman classes, old to the point it will have to be rebuilt coupled with the complaints from donors about the administrations approach to purchasing contraception for employees is making the university a wonderful place. Recently, Xavier announced it will be laying off 50 people. The article didn't state if the layoffs were professors but one must consider that they are. Laying off clerks would not save alot of money. There goes the great student/teacher ratios they brag about. Xavier sucks, period. Add the sex policy cover up where the administration was allowing accused sexual predators to continue on campus while Xavier administration investigated the incidents. The federal gov't finally stepped in telling Xavier that if they did not comply by suspending the student (keeping the student off campus until the investigation is complete) during the investigation of the sexual contact on campus, the feds would pull ALL funding. It's a great time to be Xavier. Xavier SUCKS.
The only reason Xavier fans hate Cronin so much is he is doing everything the right way. Recruits well, gets good players that behave themselves and graduate, wins games and wins against Xavier.
Not to mention, the campus is located in rundown Evanston, clearly the worst part of the city.
XU does the very things it used to rip UC for in regards to the type of kids they recruit, etc.
XU hates UC now because UC is doing things the right way...things that XU used to brag about
they suck
