Abdul Bangora. 3 yrs eligibility left.
5'10", 176lbs Running Back in high school from Maryland. He should help shore up some of our depth concerns at corner.

What does this mean? Are we just hoping or is there a possibility of this happening?
Per @MatthewStoss (Twitter):

"JMU is adding a I-A transfer: Mississippi cornerback Abdul Bangura."

Well, that escalated quickly.
Deleted my previous post... thanks for the clarification.

Doesn't look like he got much action at Ole Miss, only two games(as a R-Fr- UCA and UTEP), but appears to have some big time speed. Also looks like a fantastic student- SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll in '12-13.
Came to Ole Miss as a walk on (probably because he hurt his knee in his HS senior season, not uncommon) and earned a partial scholarship so obviously they saw something in him. Looks like he could play receiver if needed but I realize the bigger need is at CB right now.
This makes me happy on many levels:

BCS level recruit at a position we were very thin at.
DC area kid with good grades.
What's not to like ?
Oh- didn't see Double Ds post on him being a walk on. But he either had a full scholly or none- no partials in FBS ball.
He played in the SEC....that's good enough for me.

correct. No partials in FBS.
Unless he's calling "partial" a hundred dollar handshake!
Will he play this year?
just like we always need RB's, we always need DB's---especially in pass coverage. This is good news!

Yeah, you're right....I was just repeating what Stoss said.
How does a kid from MD go as far away as Mississippi without a scholarship? Does that happen more often than I'm thinking? I could see it if the school were Duke, Stanford, etc., but this seems odd.
Not sure but as long as the knee is healthy he seems to have really good speed and you and never have too much speed.

Maybe he had a family member that went there or a friend.
So are Wilson, him, Reynolds, and Gordon fighting for the top CB spots now? I feel like I'm missing someone.

I thought Wilson was moved to safety alongside Marlowe? Although, I would have thought Peter Rose would have taken that spot, which would, I guess, move Wilson back to corner.
