Exactly. I'd rather have a money game or FBS game, than a meaningless FCS road game. I don't care that we're conference mates either. ODU should do what's in ODU's best interest every time.
I can't believe how incredibly whiny Charlotte fans are on the CUSA main message board.
They're rioting and news is they're petitioning the Justice Dept to file a civil suit against ODU.
Keep in mind, we are seeing comments from only a handful of 49er fans. The overall fan impact with Charlotte is likely nowhere near the level we may be led to believe. Also, I am confident that between the two administrations, there is no angst whatsoever. This too shall pass.
Of course this isn't representative of all Charlotte fans, because those who post here are only the most emotionally attached. But it doesn't mean we can't have fun with it while it lasts!

My goodness. Cry me a river. This is a logical move. If they don't like it, I could't care any less. Schedule the best...period. I'd like to think the rational fans of both schools see the reasoning and will continue to look forward to this rivalry in the making.

Probably because its easier to get a BCS road game, and that's what they want for TH. I hadn't thought of it until you brought it up, but I bet you're right in that CUSA may put us on your schedule that year anyway if they cut you the same deal they did us. Perhaps that's what this is all about. Who knows. You guys will be fine. Great stadium, what appears to be good coaching, good season ticket sales...

Not this season, but they better be by 2014 since we play a CUSA schedule, and they can't all be on the road.
Ready or not, FBS teams will be at Foreman Field in 2014

I mean I don't like that ODU dropped the game, but I don't really care. We're not playing for anything next year anyway.

I don't think this is underhanded at all really. This happens all the time, to get inside a commit's head to see if he is really committed to a certain school, or if he can be lured away. Schools do this all the time, I see no reason to be upset over this.
If Reynolds is really committed we'll find out with other schools coming in with offers. Nothing will be official until the player signs on the dotted line next year.
