For years, I have pretty much based my cable TV decision on availability of Tiger games on TV. I've also had the MLB Extra Inning package on Comcast for the last 4 years. Over the last 2 weeks it is constantly F'ed up. Sound works about 1/3 of the time. Video doesnt always come in clearly (sometimes not at all). The screen "pixelizes" (if thats a word). I've called them about 6 times and nothing has been repaired so, I'm done with Comcast. I'm looking at UVerse because it has the YES Network available and I have to research channel availability for my wife's junk (Bravo, Housewives, all that junk)

On U-verse ----

1) Is the MLB package available?

2) Is their internet worth a crap?

3) I believe that all Tiger games will be on ESPN networks. Are they all available on Uverse?

Thanks in advance.

Don't have it but father in law does as well as a few neighbors so....
1) Yes
2) My observation is - picture quality is great, good HD selection, and the INSTANT tune is pretty cool. No lag time at all.
3) Yes
We swapped from Comcast Internet to uverse a few months ago, & have zero complaints. However, we kept directv for our satellite because we've always been happy with them. I'd vouch for uverse's internet service over Comcast any day.
I've been looking for a reason to dump comcast. I just wonder if I can keep my e-mail address?

Were you able to avoid the install fees?

If I remember correctly, we paid some installation fees, but they weren't too bad...maybe another $50-75? They've been selling their satellite service hard in our area, so we may have had some leverage with that.

Considering Comcast was trying to take our bill up to $65/month, and we were getting uverse for $30/month for the first year, then $45 or so a month after that (which was our original bill from Comcast), we were fine with paying the installation.
