Last I heard from Akstfan was Little Rock was a go and Fox / Sky might sponsor and broadcast both it and international bowl(s). Are the Ireland bowl still in play? Been quiet.
I'm pretty sure that none of the potential bowls have been approved yet.
Never have heard anything solid on whether the MAC has signed off on LR. If the MAC doesn't sign, I can't see it happening.

Is that the hold up? So no other conferences are at play?

CUSA from all I've heard was very interested until the league office pitched it to the membership. The eastern edge obviously wants more regional games but a number of others wanted no part of it.

AAC by all accounts wants only one deal with the Sun Belt and that will likely be in New Orleans.

MWC doesn't look to have any slots to give.
AAC vs Sun Belt in New Orleans Bowl, SIgn them up today!

What opportunities are on the eastern side? Seems if they do lose their NO slot, this would be better than nothing.
Let CUSA die by their own sword. Why would any of the Gof5 conferences turn down a possibility of a bowl tie in???

Boca Raton or Montgomery http://legendsbowl.com , but I do agree Little Rock is better than nothing.

I would assume that CUSA thought the New Orleans bowl was safe in their grasps....correct?
If they lose that bowl, do you think they may be more open to the LR idea?

I don't think so. It's been fairly well known that the AAC wants in. NOLA has never been understood as a lock. I hope we keep it. Destination can hardly be beat.

If I were C-USA, my focus would be on keeping what I have and trying to secure enough slots to equal my four-year average. After that, then I would focus on upgrading bowls or working a deal to get better locations.
