On Independence Day, we celebrate another memorable day when the ragtag rebel band stuck it to the Man.

Luv watching "the man" get stuck! We compete against VT and UVA for recognition and it's always fun to see the big boys take it on the chin.

What a great game, especially the final score!

As bad as their fans are at football games, they are just as obnoxious at basketball games.

It was good to put them in their place in their own arena that day.

We gained an identity that day.

It is always a cause for celebration when good defeats evil.

I have to disagree. We had an identity long before that day--ask the Kentuckys and Virginias and Indianas of the world.

A win over a mediocre Alabama team in the NIT did not define us. Our identity did not, and does not, come from how we stack up against Alabama, no matter how many yahoos in this state believe otherwise.

Maybe he meant the royal "we"
