What sports do you follow (college and pro) and how actively do you follow them?
For me,
College football: Despite living in Columbus my whole life, didn't really pay attention (outside of always knowing I wanted Ohio State to beat Michigan) until my senior year. I watched my first football game at the beginning of that year, 2002, and have been hooked ever since. I follow Ohio State and the Big Ten closest, but follow the national title picture throughout the season as well as the major conference title races and spend long Saturdays in front of the TV when I can (work now gets in the way).
Baseball: My first sport love. I'm not an extremely active follower, but I keep tabs on my favorite teams and will watch parts of a few Reds games. I got into the Yankees when I was young since they were the major league team to the hometown AAA Clippers (whom I still like seeing play games live once or twice a year). I kind of think of the Yankees as my American League team and the Reds as my National League team now.
Basketball: Live, I've been to far more college girl's basketball games (division 3) than any other sport college or pro. That was due to a cousin playing though and haven't kept up at that level in awhile. Since the regular season national title race is pretty much meaningless, I follow Ohio State a little at the beginning of the season and enjoy the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. I don't pay very close attention at that point though. After conference play begins though, I pay fairly close attention to all Big Ten play, but don't really watch any other conferences. Finally when March arrives, I do love the whole NCAA Tournament. That said, the most fun post-season year for me was our NIT victory. I went to a few games then and had a lot of fun.
NFL: Will follow a little for fantasy team or a player or two I liked in college. Fantasy football might finally get me into the league. I am nominally a Browns and Bengals fan (more Browns than Bengals), but don't really pay that much attention. I haven't seen more than a few games beginning to end and that includes Super Bowls.
Other: I enjoy the Olympics. I watched a little of the NBA Finals this year (2nd time ever).
