I have never heard of any coach anywhere for any school have a 9 player recruiting year. 9 players is phenomenal. 9 quality players is unbelievable but it appears she has done just that. ODU is going from the outhouse to the penthouse in one year in CUSA. I expect ODU women to win CUSA this coming year. That is incredible!

That would be great, but even if that doesn't happen, I expect to see a very young team get better has the season progresses. My only expectation is that they play hard, with Passion and Poise, and get better each time they step on the court. With more depth, I expect coach will turn up the heat defensively and put a lot more pressure on the basketball all over the floor.

Are we talking about Women's Hoops in April ? Love it. Can't wait !!!
Coach Nikki added another cub to the pack today. Does anyone know who?

Has there been any announcement of this information. Not sure if I have seen anything regarding a new add to the women's team last week. If anyone has info please share. Thanks.
A grad transfer would actually be a good thing to help with the class to level out.

Coach Nikki tweeted it on Twitter on April 27th. There have been several girls thanking for visits lately, but no commits.
We got a juco

We lost Brianna Jackson, local girl from PA, she chose the Miami Hurricanes. Also had offers from Boston College, Indiana, and Virginia Tech, and a bunch others

Wow. Really impressed with the team Coach Nikki is putting together for the next couple of years. One day, I hope we’ll be welcoming the best young women from Hampton Roads to the ODU roster. I get the allure of the ACC and other Power conferences, but as Dorothy said in the Wizard of Oz, “There’s no place like home.” I think we’ll see a national powerhouse at the Ted in short order.
That is a massive 8 member recruiting class that could really be something on the field in the next 2 years. Hopefully returns to deep NCAA tourney play and a winning culture at ODU. My fear is losing such a big class to graduation in four years but one battle at a time, we were severely depleted. wonder what kind of line ups we will see from Coach McCray

I noticed that a couple players, other than the Seniors, are not returning (anyone know why). But, based on that and the incoming players, so far 2018-2019 looks like this.

Timmons – Sr
Edwards – Jr
Scott – Jr
Robinson – Jr
Morris – So
Carter – So
Sadler – Fr
Adams – Fr
Hudson – Fr
Register – Fr
Wayne – Fr
Young – Fr
We will.br drastically improved next year, and in another year or two i would not be surprised with a top 15 ranking.

I have no doubt about that. We know how hard it is to recruit when you're good on 111the Mid-Major Level. For coach to bring in 8 players after just her first season (and not a good season with regard to wins and losses), that speaks volumes for the Rep she has earned in the world of Women's Basketball.

The culture has and will continue to change for the best. Coach will continue to recruit, coach and inspire quality student athletes, and the program will continue to grow. The wins will come, they always do when and administration, coaches and players that are committed to winning.

As fans, we will have a front row seat to everything that's happening, and we can help change the culture as well. Coach will tell you that as well. The sixth man is essential. When do season tickets go on sale ?
I haven't been to a women's basketball game in ages. That'll be changing this year.

ODUBB35, Welcome Back. Looking forward to witnessing the transformation of the program. I believe we will at least double last seasons 8 games win total.

I have followed them and watched some streaming games, just haven't been in person.

I'm in the same boat. We had season tickets for 10 years for the women but dropped them when Barefoot took over. I got the opportunity to be on the bench and go into the locker room during one of Barefoot's first season games. I didn't like her approach and didn't believe she was going to do anything with the program.

I have a renewed optimism with what Nikki McCray has already done. I will be back at the games this season.

I had season tickets since 1987 and gave them up three years ago because watching KB coach was miserable. Looking forward to getting back to some games in person versus online.
