Ryan has tweeted that Cameron Mattison a 6-0, 190# safety from Charlotte, NC has committed to Toledo.

That guy wants the ball! Looks very athletic and is serious about tackling. Maybe the next Barry Church?

The guy can play. Looks like good competition too. Campell keeps finding these guys in non traditional places. Amazing.

I wouldn't call Charlotte, NC a non traditional place. A lot of talent comes from that area. The thing is it's spread out among the North & South Carolina schools. (UNC, NC State, Duke, Wake Forrest, ECU, Charlotte, Clemson, & South Carolina) and few slide south to UGA and GA Tech.......Just as there are 8 D-I in Ohio...the talent gets spread too thin.

I just finished watching his highlight video for the first time. I realize these things are put together to show the athlete in the best light possible, but DAMN. That kid can play ball. He is much more powerful than his height/frame suggest, and he just seems to ALWAYS know where the ball is. He is a beast when he tackles, and has great hands. I think we may have a real winner with him.
