Myke kybongo didn't get drafted either

I only remember when he was a year behind John Wall on his high school team while we recruited Wall. At that time I remember him being ranked about 40th in his class by rivals

He shot up the ranking his senior year. I believe he chose NC State over Kentucky.

Both Leslie and Kabongo were HS All Americans. Chris Wallace loved those type of players. New regime, maybe they look at different things.

Leslie got picked up immediately after the draft.

See Josh Selby.

Yes, Leslie was a 2010 McDonald's All-American, along with Joe Jackson and Jelan Kendrick. He was listed by Rivals as a 5* player with a #14 national ranking.

Is it really that rare for HS All-Americans to go undrafted?
06-28-2013, 09:28 AM
It's not as rare as most people think.
2005: Korvotney Barber, Eric Boateng, Barndon Costner, Micah Downs, Byron Eaton, Bobby Frasor, Tasmin Mitchell, Greg Paulus, Eric Devendorf, Richard Hendrix (Umm, wow. What an awful year)
2006: Jon Scheyer, James Keefe, Scottie Reynolds, Demond Carter
2007: Nick Calathes, Austin Freeman, Taylor King, Jai Lucas, Corey Stokes
2008: Larry Drew, William Buford, Michael Dunigan, JaMychal Green, Scotty Hopson, Sylven Landesberg, Michael Rosario.
So, on average you have about 1/4 McD's AA not being drafted.
You can go to years like 2000 where only 12/24 McD's AAs were drafted, or even back to 92 when only 6/20 played in the NBA.
