Saw on the news at 5:30 that Assistant AD Gary Hogan was arrested for DWI. I hate to hear this, but I wonder what Chris Peterson is going to do about this. Not good publicity for the school and program, and I suspect that while we don't normally get much pub, this will undoubtedly get plenty.
Probably so.

Probably some social function for that new bowl game.

This was in the paper seven or eight days ago, and there hasn't been hardly any posts and none negative. I've been out of town for four or five days, and am somewhat surprised that nothing has been done, or that Trojan fans haven't commented on it, because if this had been some member of the U of A staff, I suspect that there would have been several from some of our posters calling for the head of that person. I don't remember that rowdy old Mike Newell ever got arrested did he?

Kinda surprised that Chris Peterson just blew it off, saying Hogan would face no disciplinary action. Don't necessarily think he should have been fired, but nothing? Should have been suspended without pay for a while at least. That's setting a good example for our student athletes. Kinda like the IRS deal. Nobody has paid for their sins.
What IRS deal? I am surprised there hasn't been anything in the paper. Not that I saw, anyway.

Targeting conservative groups like the Tea Party. I don't know how you could have not seen any news about this if you watch TV. That's been about all they've talked about for the past couple of months.

Turns out the IRS also targeted liberal and progressive groups as well as conservative groups. The truth is probably that the whole thing was more driven by laziness on the part of the guys at the IRS who are supposed to review the shams that all of these polictical action groups use to get tax exempt status than by any particular political agenda.
My point is when there are mistakes made, there should be penalties. I've never called for Hogan to be fired, but there should be some penalty. It doesn't look good when your Assistant AD's mug shot is on every local TV station and the AD says that there will be no penalty or punishment. As I have said before, if this had been an employee of the U of A athletic department, some on here would really be giving the U of A hell.

But my prediction that we'd get a lot of negative publicity on this was dead wrong. Other than that one little bit in the paper the next day, they(Democrap newspaper and TV stations)covered it up as quickly as Chris Peterson did. A cat couldn't have covered up their **** any quicker.

And I've seen no public apology from Hogan. Most people who **** up at least make an apology, whether they really mean it or not.

Unfortunately, I believe that the lack of comment or coverage has more to do whith how low the program has sunk. The sad fact is that next to no one cares about UALR athletics anymore under the leadership, or lack thereof, that we have from the present athletic administration.
