Anyone have good knowledge what it might look like?

No clue at this point. We need to hope that our champ can get an access bowl in most years. After that, I think we need six or seven more since some will rotate.
Example:
Military
St. Pete
LA
New Orleans
Liberty
Any Texas bowl
Birmingham bowl

at this point only 2 bbva and st pete beef bowl espn will make sure of that
dont know of any outhers but you will have them not saying there wont
be outhers but you have them 2 for sure 99 percent sure.
you are not alone the acc wanted 9 bowls so far they only have 5 for
sure and might get 2 more and they wanted 9 they might lose the sun
bowl they had 8 last year the big 4 are pushing the acc also but not as bad as they are pushing you. the acc can fight back a little better then you but just a little.
look at it like this you will be good in BB as good as the new big east
you have 4 really good BB teams the big east has 4 really good teams
most of them the big 10 the sec etc have only 4 or 5 good BB teams the same as you.
onl;y the ACC will have 8 good teams
so when the NCAA bb comes you will get as many teams in as every body except the ACC you will put at least 4 teams into the 64 team field
in fact for a few years the AAC will be known for its BB not its football
that is crazy is it not but true

There is only one Texas Bowl we can get. Our chances for a bowl in Texas begin and end with the Armed Forces Bowl. The rest of the bowls are not an option (Heart of Dallas is CUSA/B12-B10, Texas Bowl is B12/SEC, Alamo is B12/Pac-12, and Sun is ACC/Pac-12).

Truth is, the only bowl we can get that means anything at all is the Liberty. If we fail to land that, then the only other chance to have any meaningful bowl is the creation of a MW #1/2 vs AAC #1/2 game somewhere. The location details would have to be worked out. Might be a central location or a rotating location.

By the way, LA is a dead bowl--so strike that one. So, beynd the options for a #1 bowl, the rest of the list of probable options for the bowl line-up are

Military--hopefully vs ACC

BBVA Compass--vs very low SEC, probably a backup most years.

Independence--probably vs a very low P-5 team, but normally a backup most years

Beefy-Looks like it will be vs ACC 3yrs/CUCSA 3yrs

New Orleans--best case, vs the Sunbelt champ, worst case, vs a local SB also-ran

Armed Forces--possibly a shared rotation with a low B1G pick/#4ish MW pick

Aresco Bowl--if approved, probably in Marlins Stadium against a CUSA also ran

Hawaii--vs MW, probably Hawaii whenever they are bowl eligible

Poinsetta--vs MW/probably just a shared rotation with BYU

New Mexico--vs a low MW pick

Little Ceasars--this bowl is probably relocating, so it could be an option depending on where it ends up. Probably vs a MAC team. If we get the MAC champ, it might not be so bad.

Boca Raton--a CUSA bowl that's hoping to start on Boca Raton. It would be against CUSA if it can get approved.

Theres a few others, a bad bowl in Mobile, a new bowl in Little Rock's War Memorial Stadium, a new Montgomey Bowl in a new 25K stadium, and a possible bowl in Florida--Cure in Orlando, probably against CUSA.

In what planet does the ACC have 8 good basketball teams? Cuse, Duke, UNC and Lville puts you at 4 no brainer good teams.

ND has been to one Sweet 16 in 25+ years, and havent been past that round since 79.

Pitt has made it past the sweet 16 once in its history.

Miami has made 2 Sweet 16s in its history

NC St has a championship but really havent been relevant since the 80s. I will concede they can be considered good and will go to 5

FSU isn't a good basketball program since there one run to the Final Four in the 70s.

BC is laughably bad.

WF may even be worse at this point.

UVA and Virginia Tech? No thanks on the bball court.

Georgia Tech had their run in 04, but have missed the tournament 6/9 years following that.

I will go with 5. good basketball teams with others that have the capability of stepping up once every 20 years or so. Pretty much on par with the B1G and a slight step above the AAC, SEC, and Big East.
never mind
