Former Baylor guard LJ Rose has transferred to play for James Dickey and the Houston Cougars. He's requesting a waiver to be eligible immediately. If he's cleared the Cougs will be another solid team in the new AAC this year. That's good news for the conference's overall strength.
We could use a good PG with ours leaving the program. That is awesome if he gets the waiver.

I see it as a strong positive to the league for a high caliber top 50 recruit to transfer to a non BCS school. It speaks volumes for the AAC's ability to land top recruits outside of Memphis or UCONN.

With House, Knowles, and now Rose (all Top 50/100) I like our young core for long term success.

Thomas is a hell of a player, too.

Now all we need is a real coach.

Agreed and he really came on late last year. Let's hope that trend continues!

There's even some rumors floating around that Young may end up staying. We also picked up a nice physical freshman big man recruit yesterday. We might end up with a decent team. One of our assistant coaches left yesterday--so maybe they add a young energetic up and comer who can offset Dickeys ultra low key approach.

Coaching is one big family circle. He's going to Loyola of Chicago to take the place of Jason Gardner, who we just hired as our 3rd assistant.

I really like Young, I hope he remains in Houston.
