If uc hires Hobbs do you think that could mean a return of the Souley monster. I heard he was doing really good in JUCO. I wish he wouldve stayed because I thought he was going to develop into a good player. Does anybody know whats going on with Souley?
what school did he go to?

I think it was Chipola, but Im not sure.
Panola College
Souley is playing at Panola College in Texas.

you're thinking of a different northwestern state. they beat northwestern oklahoma state, which is a community college. the northwestern state you're thinking of is in louisiana and never played panola.
Souley is leading the league in rebounding by a HUGE margin, at 16.8 RPG versus the second leading rebounder at 12.1 RPG.

LOL... come on Jarr... he had plenty of opportunity to show he could do that here, he wasn't a D1 player.
Souley was terrible. That was one of AK's recruits I was pissed about. I was very quick to judge after UC signed him.

I disagree, I thought he had alot of potential. He was a prject and I didnt expect anything out of him in his first year. I think if he was on this years team hed be playing somewhere between 10-20 minutes a game.

I dont understand how you can make that judgement. The dude played like 10 minutes the entire year in mop up duty. He was a projest, what did you expect. I just wish he wouldve had more of a chance.
He has not signed with GW, and is keeping his options open. He visited there, and its been one school high on his list, but nothing is official yet. One reason he likes it there is because one of his good friends (Regis Koundjia) is on the team. Unfortunately, I doubt he'd return to Cincinnati (believe me, we've had this conversation about 1000 times).

He did awesome this year at Panola (stats in my sig refer to him...early in the season he was averaging around 17 rebounds a game), and I got the chance to see him play twice. He's a strong defensive player, and if he can improve on offense, he should do well. He seems to be slowly getting stronger, so hopefully he can keep up with the progress he's made. I think Panola was a positive for him on all levels.

To whoever said he was terrible... 01-lauramac2 Dont get me started.

Do you guys not remember seeing Souley play? The guy can not improve. He is physically uncapable. He is the one of the clumsiest, uncoordinated players UC has ever had. I cannot remember how many times I would see him going up for a rebound and the ball bouncing off his face. Not to mention he was like 6'10 and 98 lbs. THe guy is definitely not a D1 player! Ron Allen looks like Michael Jordan compared to Souley!
You just earned the wrath of bearcatgirl....she is his buddy and anything bad being said about Souley warrants the nuclear option.

Bottom line is that Souley was a fan favorite. We all rallied behind him. It just became obvious that for him to ever get better he needed to go the JUCO rout. It wasn't going to happen in Clifton.

Apparently you cannot read. Look at the above posts. He IS improving. I'd say more, but I'm headed to the game. He's being actively recruited by some teams, so obviously you dont know what you're talking about. K. Bye.
