Middle of the pack for us. Guess that beats bringing up the rear on the gridiron.
A couple of factors may moderate our despair at such rankings. #1 Most of these experts really don't know much about FBS talent when you get past the Top 300 or so recruits over the past 4 years. #2 They may only read what each other writes about nonBCS conference teams with much of their guessing based on the previous year's record and if the team they are assessing signed an unusually high recruit or got a major team's transfer last year (sat out 2012) at a "skilled position".
Oh we're winning the conference. And the championship will be in Birmingham.
It's weird seeing Rice second in the West.
