Does anyone know what channel that will be on Cox Cable?
Per that release, noon kickoff against Charlotte.

Omelets at the tailgate.
Unfortunately, according to their website, it's not available on Cox.

But it's on Verizon Fios Channel 300 in Hampton Roads. FCS Atlantic.

Minium posted an article on the lack of Cox coverage:

I'd say write/email whoever at Cox is in charge of these things. I think the demand for the channel may have skyrocketed in the past few hours.
Already called.
I feel for you guys. Luckily for me, DirecTV has Fox College Sports on their sports tier.
I'm going to try to attend the game, and if I can't at least it is on a Saturday night so I can go to a bar and watch it over beers. Would still prefer my couch, but I won't be missing the game whether Cox carries it or not. I am surprised, however, that CUSA added us with our market being the main strength when the vast majority of the market doesn't carry the station the TV deal is with. Epic fail on all ends if we can't get Cox to pick this up. The program will never reach its full potential if we can't even maximize the visibility of our own local market... not to mention the 757 has a rather large ECU market as well. Seems like half my neighbors went there.
Is it possible that the local Fox channel can strike a deal to carry it in this area?

I have Verizon, so if I don't go to the game, I'll be able to watch, but we want more exposure.
7pm at Dowdy Ficklen. Geeze. Thrown to the wolves.

Drunkard, where will FCS be on Direct TV? I haven't seen it yet.
Is this a different channel than the fox sports 1 that's replacing the speed channel?

Well, we've been told there is no way ODU can withstand the afternoon summer heat of eastern NC. A night game should minimize those issues.

Silencing a sold out stadium during a evening televised broadcast should be the perfect FBS debut for ODU football.

yes, a lot different. it's kind of a national catch all for locally produced content http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fox_College_Sports

Most Fios plans seem to have the 3 channels

FCS Atlantic is currently showing a college baseball rerun and FCS Pacific and Central have Big 12 women's volleyball on.
What makes the summer heat of eastern NC any different than southeast VA?

Hype makes everything different. LOL

I'm guessing the difference may be that we are surrounded by water which soaks up much of the suns rays and we get the benefit of all kinds of breezes.

They have nothing to absorb their heat.
The water just makes it humid so our sweat doesn't easily evaporate. The water has little cooling effect in August. The humidity at ECU should be relatively high, as well.
Thats when Taylor Heinicke plays without gloves!!!! Anyone have any stats on him throwing TD/INT with and without gloves on?
