My friend has been a season ticket holder just as long as I have been. From day one when tickets went on sale at 10am over 5 years ago. We were both roommates at the time and can remember the excitement of ordering tickets. Today he got an email from ODU and it was not a good one. I just don't understand, he has given to ODAF every year and his donations totallys are only $300 less than what I have donated. Here is the email he forward to me a couple minutes ago.

Dear ODU Fan:
The ODU ticket office received a record number of ticket orders for the upcoming football season. Every customer who placed an order was ranked and given the opportunity to select seats based on the priority points system utilized by the Old Dominion Athletic Foundation (ODAF). Unfortunately, due to the overwhelming demand for tickets, we are unable fulfill your order. Your refund would be credited to the card you used for purchase. Please allow 5 business days for the refund to appear on your credit card statement. You are invited to sign up for the season ticket wait list if you wish to have the opportunity to purchase seats in the future. Click Here to sign up for the wait list. Thank you for your current donation towards the Old Dominion Athletic Foundation (ODAF).
Sincerely,
ODU Ticket Office

He did tell me he never got mail/email about assigned time to pick seats but thought nothing of it since he has been on a church mission trip since Feb.

Has anyone received this email yet? What about the flex plan?
The article a few weeks back said some people that didn't donate got seats.

If I were him I'd ask about that.
Them's the breaks. You should have joined forces and funds.
Sorry to hear..............

I think if this had been my situation, I would have called to find out where I stand. May just have been overlooked. I am sure they will do what they can to remedy the situation.

Good Luck to your Friend
I bet he didn't get credit for his contributions or tickets bought. He needs to review his ODAF account, mine was missed up.
He is waiting for them to return his call now. Our guess is his donation for this year was after the deadline
If he donated but didn't pick, ODAF was supposed to pick for him. Sounds weird since the paper said all who ordered would get seats of some kind.

Did it say that? I don't remember them saying everyone was guaranteed tickets.

For the record I was on the outside looking in for the last 4 years because we missed the initial timeline and never got tickets despite being donors for the last 30 years.

Thankfully I found quite a few tickets through posters here and through online sites like Craigslist and stubhub and threw the odu ticket office when away game tickets weren't completely used by opposing teams.

Tell your buddy if he can't get season tickets, don't give up hope. If he tries hard and busts his butt asking for tickets or waiting for people who can't use them to sell them, he'll be able to attend most games.

I attended all but one home game last year and I didn't have season tickets.

Thankfully for the next year years I'm set, I can totally sympathize with him though, missing the date was a huge screwup on our part and it sucked not being able to attend all the games you wanted too. The first two seasons it was really tough to get a ticket because no one wanted to miss our games.

It was easier the past two years when we were playing CAA teams because schools didn't always sell their allotment and while we still sold out season tickets, I think perhaps the novelty wore off a little and tickets were easier to find on any given week.

Don't know how excited the cusa move will make our fans but as I said, if he tries hard and makes the effort, he can probably find tickets for several games this season.
