Quote:While a simple "no" to the University of Alabama probably would have sufficed, top running back recruit Elijah Hood made it pretty clear he doesn't want any more mail from the Crimson Tide.
Hood, from Charlotte, N.C., is a top running back recruit, ranked third among running backs by Rivals and 13th overall in the class of 2014. He wanted to get rid of some recruiting letters Alabama sent him, and what better way than to flush them down the toilet and post a Vine video of it to Twitter?
Naturally, Bammers started attacking him on Twitter.
Quote:Then he joked about the education opportunities at Alabama, compared to Notre Dame ("You dont play football at Alabama to go to college haha," he tweeted)
Little Smaug was getting interest from all sorts of places (academics, not football), and when anything bearing the scarlet letter landed in the mailbox, it went in the round file, unopened.
Ill take my green and gold glasses off and say Hood made a big mistake. Also, he wouldn't have gotten any playing time at UAT anyways. Yeldon, Fowler, Henry, Drake, Jones, Tenpenny, possibly Scarborough and fournette. He had no chance. With no loyalty to green and gold, no way I'd deny interest from UAT.
One thing about Saban & his recruiting, he's already looking for your replacement in the next class. He'd probably have been a transfer due to playing time if he signed w/ UAT as someone better would come along before/after him.
Don't tell me nobody on this chatroom doesn't have an interest in Uat football. I remember sitting at the Marshall home game. As Uab was beating the piss out of Marshall, everyone else was more focused on listening to the bama-a&m game. Everyone up at the top of legion field sitting behind glass was watching the bama game. They cheered when A&M scored. Didn't have a clue when uab stepped out of the locker room or had possession or scored. Regardless of whether they were watching a game on TV, I have never heard anybody in that box make any noise. Me and the family traveled to hattiesburg, once again just as much attention was shown for bama Lsu as there was for uab usm. I remember me and all fellow blazer fans cheering L-s-u.

I think some people forgot where they were and assumed they were watching an LSU game because of Southern Miss' throwback uniforms.
