ODU heading to a new & bright future ..... Aim High
It is so nice to have discussions about this upcoming season and games against East Carolina, Maryland, The University of North Carolina, and Pittsburgh. The excitement is obvious to all that support the program. National Press and attention, about our Sold Out Stadium and 5 consecutive years of Sell Outs! Couple that with the anticipation of an expanded stadium, that will escalate the program to an all new level.
Home and home scheduling of games against VA.Tech and North Carolina State. Planning a 2014 Schedule with anticipation of games against BCS schools like Auburn, Texas A&M, LSU, Arkansas, Tennessee and Alabama (all have openings in 2014). Setting goals and talking with a handful of Big Ten, SEC and ACC schools about playing a "guarantee" football game, in which the Monarchs would go on the road in return for a pay check of $1 million or more.
I am so glad we have the CAA in our rearview mirror. I feel fortunate that ODU had a vision and aggressiveness to allow us all to enjoy a programs growth and potential to receive National recognition! I am so elated that our main topic of discussion is not centered around developing rivalries with Elon, College of Charleston and other new members in the CAA.
Win or lose, at least we our in the game, and for that I am thankful!
ODU has had astronomical success in Football and the direction we are headed is nothing less than spectacular. Roaring to National prominence! Aim High!
